Nice to Not Meet You Episode 11 Recap

Nice to Not Meet You Episode 11 Review
Nice to Not Meet You Episode 11 Review: Lee Jung-jae, Hwang Ji-sun

This episode begins with a hilarious situation where Hyun-jun and Hwa-young tag along with Jeong-sin and Jae-hyung when they decide to go for lunch. The plan is simple: Hwa-young will try to help Hyun-jun woo Jeong-sin so that she does not come between her own romance. This section is really funny because the interaction between Hyun-jun and Hwa-young draws you in. It becomes apparent that Hyun-jun is indeed very much in love with Jeong-sin, but at the same time, he doesn’t know how to approach her.

But things do not stop there, as he also gives Jeong-sin very subtle but direct hints about his love for her. Later, Hyun-jun gets himself into another big trouble when he realises that a press conference is coming soon and Jeong-sin will be present there. This means she will also get to know that Byun-gu, the director, is the same man who talked to her on the Onion app.

If this happens, the entire ruse will be up. Hyun-jun cannot let this happen, specifically in a situation where he has not yet told his feelings to Jeong-sin. Thus, he tries to come up with many ideas to counter this, but nothing comes to mind. On the other hand, Jeong-sin also has a dream where she’s getting married somewhere, and it happens to be Hyun-jun’s house. Needless to say, she wakes up very disturbed from that dream.

We also get a very sweet segment where Jeong-sin goes out with her brother and buys him a very expensive shirt. Though he tells her not to splurge on him, she still gets it for him. They also drink together and discuss mundane things. He goes on to tell her that she should give Jae-hyung a chance if he’s interested in her. We then see Jeong-sin meet Jae-hyung for dinner, and she clearly tells him that she will not be able to return his feelings. She also becomes very direct to him and tells him that maybe he liked her because she reminded him of someone else.

At the press conference, Hyun-jun prays to God for a miracle to happen. Suddenly, Byung-gu falls extremely sick, and he opts out of the event. At the event, Hyun-jun tries to avoid Se-na, but she clings to him at every chance. After that, Hyun-jun again opens the Onion app and creates an elaborate plan to finally make Jeong-sin fall in love with him.

I like today’s episode as it was funny, and also because we finally get some resolution to the love story. From the next episode, things will not go in circles, and we will enter the romance arc where both characters will be aware of each other’s feelings. Now we will have to see how Jeong-sin will respond to Hyun-jun’s feelings.
