My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 19 Title

If you haven’t at least heard of My Hero Academia, I hope that the rock that you’re living under provides plenty of space and sunlight for healthy living. My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 19 Review- True Power

Deku saves Earthquake My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 19

Breaking my cardinal rule of no spoilers, I will be bringing up stuff that we saw in the preview of this episode, so this is a prior warning for that. A lot of good things happened in this episode, but we wouldn’t be able to talk about anything if we couldn’t discuss the crux of the matter- Deku has gone full vigilante after waking up and has concluded that the only way to stop Tomura Shigaraki is to find and stop him before he stops Deku. Never mind that taking the initiative on the villains at the start of this season got us into this mess in the first place, but we don’t need to talk about that.

What we absolutely do need to talk about is how much our boy has grown. Seriously, Deku’s transformation from a boy who broke something when trying to accomplish the tiniest thing to this absolute monster who can take down almost any villain has been astounding. He has a supremely powerful quirk that is only now showcasing its true strength, yes, but to be able to utilise it as well as he is doing after suffering so much trying to master it is a fantastic point to be at in this point of the story. Deku might not be perfect, but he’s good enough, which is all that matters.

He also faced someone from his past in My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 19, as the first villain that could ever survive one hit from Deku was back to terrorise everyone with his supremely powerful quirk. Muscular was a fantastic villain and one of the few highlights of Season 3, as his fight with Deku when the latter was trying to protect Kota from meeting the same end as his parents was tremendous and showcased everything good about the show. He was exceptionally strong for being a supposed lackey of the league of villains.

He was also a fantastic choice to be the first villain that we see Deku fight in My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 19 because now we have an abject comparison of how strong Deku has gotten through the days. Taking muscular down the previous time took him an arm, a leg, and all of his strength. I am not going to spoil how much it took him this time, but it was certainly much, much less than that. Seeing all the quirks being used together like this is also extremely fun and makes you drool imagining the various combinations these could be used in.

My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 19 also featured one of my favourite dynamics in the entire show- between Deku’s mother Inko Midoriya, and All Might. As All Might’s size has gotten smaller, so has his role in the series, and Inko hasn’t been seen in entire seasons. However, the promise that All Might made Inko still rings sharply in his ears, and being the extremely realistic depiction of the worrying mom that she is, Inko does not approve of what Izuku has set out to do. Inko being this way is charming and adds a lot to the character dynamics of the show.

Verdict

My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 19 had one purpose- to showcase how far Deku has come from his beginnings to now. It accomplished that wonderfully in an action and emotion-packed episode that did not get a foot wrong.
