My Happy Marriage Episode 9 Reactions: Miyo and Kiyoka’s Turbulent Relationship Causes Emotional Outburst Among Fans

My Happy Marriage Episode 9 Reactions from fans are all about Miyo and Kiyoka’s relationship as they get into a fight for the first time. The seventh episode premiered on August 30, 2023, on Netflix. My Happy Marriage (My Blissful Marriage) or Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon (わたしの幸せな結婚) is an upcoming anime series which will be premiering on Netflix. Based on the light novel of the same name written by Akumi Agitogi and illustrated by Tsukiho Tsukioka, it also has a manga adaptation illustrated by Rito Kohsaka.

The anime series is directed by Takehiro Kubota under Kinema Citrus Studios. Ami Satō, Takahito Ōnishi and Momoka Toyoda are credited as the writers, and Evan Call gives the music. Licensed under Netflix, the series is scheduled to run for 13 episodes. The opening theme song is Anata no Soba ni (貴方の側に。, “By Your Side”) by Riria and the ending theme song, Vita Philosophica (ヰタ・フィロソフィカ), is performed by Kashitarō Itō.

The plot of the show is set in the early fictional years of Japan, where possessing supernatural powers holds the utmost form of respect. However, Miyo, following the death of her mother, leads a rather miserable life with her stepmother and stepsister. As she possesses no power, she is deemed as a useless member of the household, and everyone in the family devalues her. She is married off to a ruthless commander named Kudou, and her life completely changes since then.

The story progresses a lot in the new episode. Miyo starts having dreams a lot more frequently than expected which disrupts her normal life. However, she gets to meet new people in her life that she did not know existed. Arata offers his help as he finally introduces himself with his real identity. But the offer comes with a condition that puts her in a tough position.

As usual, the fans discuss the episode on the social media platform X. Miyo and Kiyoka’s relationship has been a smooth sail but they have never experienced emotional depth with each other. Miyo’s inability to communicate has caused a bit of turbulence in their relationship. Moreover, Kiyoka also ended up being rude to her which escalated the situation.
