My Happy Marriage Episode 9 Ending Explained: The eighth episode premiered on August 30, 2023, on Netflix. My Happy Marriage (My Blissful Marriage) or Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon (わたしの幸せな結婚) is an upcoming anime series which will be premiering on Netflix. Based on the light novel of the same name written by Akumi Agitogi and illustrated by Tsukiho Tsukioka, it also has a manga adaptation illustrated by Rito Kohsaka.

The live-action film adaptation of the fantasy series was released in Japan on March 2023. Following the story of Miyo, who enters an arranged marriage with a ruthless commander, officially got its own anime series announced to be directed by Takehiro Kubota under Kinema Citrus Studios. Ami Satō, Takahito Ōnishi and Momoka Toyoda are credited as the writers, and Evan Call gives the music.

Licensed under Netflix, the series is scheduled to run for 13 episodes. With an estimated duration of 20-25 minutes each, the episodes are available in English dub and subtitles. The opening theme song is Anata no Soba ni (貴方の側に。, “By Your Side”) by Riria and the ending theme song, Vita Philosophica (ヰタ・フィロソフィカ), is performed by Kashitarō Itō.

In the latest episode, Miyo finally meets Arata. However, their first meeting seems to be just a coincidence, as Arata was in the right place at the right time to help out Miyo when she fell to the ground senseless. But no one knows his true identity, and he only revealed his fake name. But through sources, Kiyoka is extremely near to the truth and will do anything to help Miyo out and end her suffering.

What are Arata’s intentions?

From just a few meetings, it is obvious what Arata’s intentions are. He goes to the Kudo’s house to meet with Kiyoka but happens to stumble upon Miyo instead. Although it seemed like a coincidence, he orchestrated it in a way that he could meet Miyo alone. During their conversation, he said some hurtful things about Kiyoka and their to ruin their relationship. However, Miyo remained firm and asked him not to make false assumptions.

On the other hand, Arata also went to meet Kiyoka at his office. He revealed to him that he met Miyo earlier when she collapsed in the street. Hearing this, Kiyoka was shocked as he did not know about the incident. This led him to go and confront Miyo. However, in the heat of the moment, Kiyoka ended up saying some hurtful things that left Miyo crying. Through these incidents, it can be seen that Arata clearly wants to come between their relationship for his own selfish motives.

Why is Kiyoka taking Miyo to Arata?

Due to the constant nightmares, Miyo’s health has been deteriorating rapidly. It can be evidently seen in her physical appearance, and Kiyoka’s worries increase. He finds out that Arata is somehow related to the Usuba clan and decides to seek for his help. To help Miyo and end all her sufferings, he decides to drive Miyo to Arata so that he can end the nightmares once and for all. But he is still not aware of Arata’s true identity, and the meeting could turn out to be either helpful or cause a lot more problems.
