My Dress-Up Darling Episode 6 Recap
The long-awaited moment finally arrives in this episode as Marin takes on the role of Ray-sama, something fans have been eagerly anticipating. The story begins with a small setback. Marin and Gojo try their hand at creating a rainbow-colored rose, but their painted version ends up looking messy and nothing like what they imagined. Just when they are about to give up, Seira steps in with an inventive solution. Using a simple white rose, test tubes, and food colouring, she manages to create a temporary multicoloured effect that works perfectly for Marin’s cosplay.
As the cultural festival gets underway, it becomes clear that Class 3 is far ahead in terms of success and popularity. Marin’s class, however, still has one card left to play, which is the cosplay event. Understanding how much is riding on her performance, Marin shows a more serious and determined side. She insists that she will win not for herself, but for everyone who has worked hard, because that’s exactly what Ray-sama would do. Her dedication to embodying the character makes the moment even more powerful.
Meanwhile, Gojo prepares Marin’s makeup, and this part of the episode highlights his personal growth. At first, he feels nervous and self-conscious, worrying that people are watching him too closely or expecting too much from him. His insecurities creep in, but as he continues working, he realizes just how much he enjoys the craft. The trust others place in his skills becomes a source of confidence, and he pushes through his doubts. By the end, Gojo produces some of his best work yet, flawlessly bringing Ray-sama to life through Marin.
My Dress-Up Darling Season 2 Episode 7 Review
The episode begins with a very excited Marin, for she got a stuffed toy from Gojo. She is not at all embarrassed in claiming that she has a major crush on Gojo, and she emphasises this to all her peers and even her stylists. They, however, point out how she has been putting on some weight, and this fact gets confirmed when Marin’s director points that out as well. She also reminds Marin how she must be in shape before their summer outfit shootings.
Marin is absolutely shocked about this entire thing, as when she tries on her old clothes, none of them fit properly. She is also confused as to what is making her fat in the first place, and the answer comes to her when she visits Gojo’s house. There she has a hearty dinner, and she realises she has been gaining weight because of Gojo and his meals.
Later, Gojo and Marin go to buy some loose socks, which Marin uses to look cute, and have a photoshoot with the brand new camera that she bought with her own money. In the segment, they have a very fun time where Gojo takes some very nice pictures and manages to locate a newfound passion for photography. However, the highlight of this episode is when Marin decides to take pictures of the Wakana family as well.
Verdict
Today’s episode was really sweet, especially when Marin clicks a picture of Gojo’s grandfather, as it showcases how much she considers them her own family. Apart from that, we also got to see some light-hearted moments between Marin and Gojo, but that was all in terms of plot progression.
