Mushoku Tensei Season 2 Episode 10 Review: Love And A Mystery

Mushoku Tensei Season 2 Episode 10 leads to Rudeus making a big discovery on his own, and it seems like it will change the course of his time at Ranoa. Let’s see how things went in this review!

Mushoku Tensei Season 2 Episode 10 Overview

Mushoku Tensei Season 2 Episode 10 Title

Mushoku Tensei, also known as Mushoku Tensei Jobless Reincarnation or Mushoku Tensei Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu in original Japanese, is an adventure, drama and fantasy anime based on a light novel series written by Rifujin na Magonote and illustrated by Sirotaka. This episode is also known as Mushoku Tensei Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Episode 10 and Mushoku Tensei Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu Season 2 Episode 10.

The latest season of the anime is being directed by Hiroki Hirano, who served as an assistant director of the second part of the show’s first season. However, the studio that produces and adapts the anime remains the same, as that responsibility again falls to Studio Bind, who haven’t really done anything other than Mushoku Tensei. Mushoku Tensei Season 2 Episode 10 Review- These Feelings

Sol Rudeus Mushoku Tensei Season 2 Episode 10

Mushoku Tensei is infamous for the slow speed at which its plot seems to move. “Seems” is the key word here, as I don’t believe it to be very slow at all. We are watching a man get a second chance at his life and doing good for himself while doing so. He is learning, fighting, and improving every day that he exists in this world, and we get to see most of that on our screens. Sure, some parts are not as exciting as the others, but all of them are just as important in the character growth of Rudeus.

Consider this episode, for example- next to nothing of note happened here, especially not the kind you would expect from a typical fantasy isekai like this one. The show took another massive time skip, almost a year, and showcased what Rudeus’ life had become after he met the masked girl from Japan. Not only does this fly in the face of the theory that it is too slow for its own good, but it also demonstrates some real progress being made in all of Rudeus’ goals that he had for Ranoa.

Fitz Mushoku Tensei Season 2 Episode 10

Unfortunately, it also looks like his time here, at least in this arc, is about to end not too long from now. He is actively working on figuring out what caused this teleportation event, thus giving way to either causing another one or solving this one. He is also very close to fulfilling the Man-God’s prophecy this time around, as the cursed erectile dysfunction storyline is also almost resolved. That is good for both Rudeus and the audience, as we no longer have to witness as many desperate attempts from him to regain it.

Sylphiette, in particular, was in a pretty big dilemma this week, mostly because of how smart Rudeus is. Mushoku Tensei Season 2 Episode 10 treated its audience with a lot of respect, as it had a scene which gave us the same amount of information that Rudeus had, expected us to reach the same conclusion from that information as Rudeus, and have us be right. It also was a major milestone in Rudeus and Fitz’s relationship because the audience, as well as Rudeus, realised for the first time what his feelings towards Fitz meant.

This cat-and-mouse game between Rudy and Sykphie has dominated the show for the period of Rudy’s time in Ranoa, and the show has done well to centre this around the tumultuous feelings inside Syphie’s head. The dynamic would become really cumbersome without either one of the two people involved realising how unreasonable they are, and it is Sylphie in this instance. As discussed, we are very close to the situation imploding between them and getting to see which way the wind blows with these two.

Verdict

Mushoku Tensei Season 2 Episode 10 was a fun episode that moved the Sylphie-Rudy story forward quite a lot and used some neat storytelling techniques while doing so. It was very fun watching these characters grow up in front of us
