Netflix is set to release the sequel to its popular franchise, and Murder Mystery 2 is very soon about to make its appearance on the streaming platform. Directed by Jeremy Garelick, this film is written by James Vanderbilt and produced by Jennifer Aniston, Adam Sandler, Tripp Vinson, James D. Stern, James Vanderbilt, Allen Covert and A.J. Dix. This time the story follows our protagonists to a private island where they have to solve the case of their friend’s abduction.

Murder Mystery 2 Plot/Synopsis
After a successful solve, Nick and Audrey decide to take a vacation where their friend is abducted for real, and things have totally gotten out of hand. Their friend is getting married on a private island. When the Baarat starts to come in, they realise it’s a decoy, and the real groom is being taken.
This is just the beginning of their story because things are about to get even more complicated for the couple. Even the trailer starts out in the most chaotic way possible. A large van enters the frame through a wall and crashes into a restaurant. The duo step out and take stock of the damage they have done. Nick takes a look at the people there and decides to greet them in his best French possible.
Taking it right back to the beginning, the trailer shows the couple lounging in their room when they get a call from their friend Maharajah. He is inviting the two of them to come to his private island so they can watch him get married. Audrey reminds him that the last time they went somewhere for a getaway, many people died, and it did not end well for many others. We see them leave the helicopter and move towards Maharajah, who shows them to their room.

Get ready for it. It is massive, surrounded by foliage and has some of the most pleasant views on the property. It gets better because the room has a gift box with some earrings, an iPhone and, more scandalously, a pair of handcuffs. The couple is then seen walking towards the wedding venue in their very graceful Indian attire, flanked by fireworks exploding. They go around meeting people, including the Colonel, who has made his affection for Nick seem pretty clear.
When the groom makes his way from the Baraat to the Mandap, he falls off the elephant, and it is revealed that the actual groom is not there. Audrey and Nick run out to check where he has gone and see him getting kidnapped at his wedding. Everyone at the wedding is now a suspect in what has happened.
Audrey remarks that they will never be invited anywhere ever again, while Nick is still trying to figure out who is really responsible for the abduction in the first place. The real detectives make their way to the island the next morning and notice the Spitz’s, the couple and are told that their reputation has not really given them a way out regarding this situation.
It all descends into chaos when a ransom is asked, and the couple goes to deliver. Death and destruction seem to follow them everywhere. This film seems to contain the perfect amount of humour, drama, tension and action. After the success of the first one, this one seems to take it all to the next level.
