Murdaugh Murders A Southern Scandal: What Happened to Alex Murdaugh? Where is He Now?

The newly released true crime three part docuseries, Murdaugh Murders A Southern Scandal, has took the internet by storm since it reveals certain graphic details behind the ongoing case of Alex Murdaugh. The real events point to the five deaths connected to the Murdaugh family and how the main guy, Alex, is now facing the charges and is yet to be convicted.

While Alex Murdaugh was arrested for felony charges due to pretending someone shot him whilst it was a set-up, he was slowly linked to the death of his son and wife, Paul and Maggie Murdaugh’s chilling murder. Alex, who called 911 on the night of his son and wife’s murder, allegedly had been near his wife 10 minutes before the murder, which was found through Paul’s video where Alex’s voice is heard.

Meanwhile, Buster Murdaugh also has received a call from Alex right before the murder, stating that he was on his way to visit his grandfather. But where was Alex that night? After all these incidents, which were explained in the docuseries, there are strong chances of Alex Murdaugh being guilty however, there isn’t any solid evidence as of now.

Alex Murdaugh and The Five Deaths

While Alex is facing trial for Paul and Maggie’s murder, the story of the Murdaugh’s mysteries date back to 2015. A young teen named Stephen Smith allegedly died on the middle of the road, and rumours say that he and Buster Murdaugh were in a relationship. Despite the Murdaugh’s name coming in, the case faded away without justice. Additionally, no whereabouts of Stephen Smith’s family are also shown in the docuseries.

Similarly, the family’s maid, Gloria, also died, supposedly tripping over the dogs. Again, the mysterious death never got a closure. Her case started to cause fire when it was found that the paycheck supposed to go to Gloria’s sons never went but was shown in a way that Alex had paid it. Why so? Apart from that, the day she died was close to the incident where she figured out the drug use of Alex, which ultimately sent him to rehab.

While the Murdaugh family publicly denied their relation to Stephen Smith’s death, there are chances of more evidences to come up, which can worsen the Murdaugh dynasty. Additionally, the docuseries also reveals that Buster Murdaugh isn’t ready to open up to the public regarding the case, so we’re left with his side of the story.

Where is Alex Murdaugh Now?

Alex was previously charged for not providing the Satterfield family with the promised insurance money. Apart from this, when his family firm and clients discovered his insurance fraud, they fired him. To escape the charges, he faked a possible murder-attack, asking Marvin to shoot him on his head. Soonly, the police officers figured out that Alex set it all up to get rid of the firm who has sued him for the fraudulent activities.
