Movies Releasing in December 2022 Week 3: We are officially in the middle of the month of December, and with that, multiple exciting movies are releasing this week. There is a movie for everyone this week, ranging from various genres and theatre releases to OTT platforms, from English to regional languages.

Directed by Kylie Stott and written by Tab Murphy, it is a coming-of-age story about Mala, a young kangaroo joey. She Learns what it takes to survive her incredible first year. Only one in five joeys make it to their first birthday. The dingo pack that stalks her family is Mala’s greatest enemy. The story is narrated by Sarah Snook. and is set to release on Netflix.

I Believe in SantaDecember 14

Directed by Alex Ranarivelo and written by John Ducey, it is a story about falling in love and accepting each other’s flaws this Christmas. The movie is set to release on Netflix.

The Big 4- December 15

After sparing a girl’s life during a massacre, an elite assassin that is targeted by murderous gangsters. The Big 4 is an action movie, and it is directed and written by Timo Tjahjanto along with Johanna Wattimena. It is an Indonesian movie starring Abimana Aryasatya, Putri Marino, and Lutesha. The movie will be released on Netflix.

Govinda Mera Naam- December 16

Starring Vicky Kaushal, Kiara Advani and Bhumi Pednekar, the movie is about the very charming Govinda Waghmare, who juggles his time and love between his wife, Mrs Waghmare and his girlfriend in this dose of chaos, confusion, and laughter. Directed and written by Shashank Khaitan, the movie is set to release on Disney+ Hotstar.

Avatar: The Way of Water- December 16

The very anticipated sequel of Avatar will finally be released in December. Directed by James Cameron and starring Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana and Sigourney Weaver, the movie will explore the newfound family of Jake Sully on the planet of Pandora. The movie will have a worldwide theatre release.

Private Lesson- December 16

Private Lesson is a Turkish movie that is directed by Kivanç Baruönü and written by Murat Disli and Yasemin Erturan. It is the story of Azra posing as a private tutor who secretly coaches students on achieving their goals in life and love but not without a few bumps in the road. The movie is set to release on Netflix.

VamananDecember 16

Written and directed by A.B. Binil, Vamanam is a Malayalam movie. It is a psycho-horror thriller about the survival of a man who works as a homestay manager at a hill station and his family. It is set to have a nationwide theatre release.

SasanasabhaDecember 16

Directed by Venu Madikanti and written by K Raghavendra Reddy, it is a story about present-day society. It is a political drama which will carry an important message to society without being preachy. The movie will be released in Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu languages. It is set to have a nationwide theatre release.

The Good Maharaja- December 17

Starring Sanjay Dutt, it is a period movie based on the true life event of the Maharaja of Jamnagar saving 1000 polish kids during world war II. Directed by Vikash Verma and written by Hitesh Desai the movie has a total runtime of 140 minutes. The film is set to have a nationwide theatre release.
