Mission Yozakura Family Episode 8 was decent and funny. Let us see how the episode went in detail, below.

Mission Yozakura Family Overview Episode 7 Recap

In today’s episode, the focus shifts to Nanao, who embarks on his mission only to encounter several hurdles. He infiltrates a sinister laboratory where malicious experiments are being conducted on a drug capable of mass destruction. To prevent this lethal drug from being unleashed, Nanao uses his abilities to make everyone in the lab fall asleep and then consumes the drug himself. Due to his extraordinary physiology, which far surpasses normal human capabilities, he can neutralize the drug’s effects. However, this comes at a cost: he falls into a prolonged sleep, requiring protection during his vulnerable state. This is where our main protagonist, Taiyo, steps in.

The mission, however, proves to be more complicated than anticipated. New characters are introduced, adding layers of complexity and threat. Unfortunately, the operation does not go smoothly for Taiyo, leading to significant consequences. This setback is primarily due to the intervention of two elite ninjas, who differ from the freelance or independent ninjas like the Yozakura family. Among them, the leader Sui stands out as particularly perilous, displaying a reckless disregard for everything around him.

The situation quickly deteriorates, resulting in Taiyo inadvertently tarnishing the Yozakura name. He is now tasked with reclaiming his honour by spying on the notorious spy, Sui, himself.

Mission Yozakura Family Episode 8 Review And Recap

Today’s episode starts with Taiyo and Mutsumi going on a little picnic that Taiyo has no knowledge about. However, when he reaches the destination, he sees that Sui is already there, and apparently, he will also accompany the couple. But that is when we get to know that it is not a picnic that they are going on, they are actually heading towards the headquarters of Hinagiku, the government-sanctioned spy organisation.

The route to reach that place is pretty easy, considering you need to go through a cafe. But the dangers that lurk on that road are something that only a seasoned spy can take on. This is where we also learn how loved Mutsumi is amongst the spy organisation when we see the leader of Hinagiku, Rin treat Mutsumi like her own sister. This is because Rin used to be the classmate of Kyoichiro and even she hates his guts for being a perverted siscon.

Today’s episode was actually funny, but not in the first half when we get introduced to the character of Rin. She goes on to give our hero a special mission for which he must use a disguise so that he can infiltrate a minister’s office. This minister is very eccentric and dances along with his men all the time. The way he conducts his work is hilarious, but also genius.

This part was pretty entertaining, and in the end, we got some expected results. But the conclusion gave us some mystery, and I think the serious aspect of this anime is finally approaching. The death of Taiyo’s parents might not be a simple accident, and there might be more to it.

Verdict

This anime is very lighthearted and has decent comedy that keeps you entertained, but it is nothing we have never seen before. I think this anime needs a shift towards a serious arc so that we get more attached to the characters. All in all, this was a nice episode.
