Mission Yozakura Family Episode 4 Review: Taiyo Is Evolving

Today’s episode mostly showcases the daily escapades of the Yozakura family. It begins with Mutsumi cooking up a feast for her household and also adding her special dose of poison inside it, so that her family members can become great poison resistors. That is when we see Taiyo trying on a bra, as he is attempting to brush up on his disguise skills. But he gets interrupted by Kengo who comes in his disguise and starts chaos.
The first half of the episode showcases the relationship Mutsumi has with her youngest older brother Kengo. He is a master of camouflage but is also a very sloppy person who does not do well with his paperwork. As he is quite mischievous, as well, when Mutsumi tries to make him work, she finds herself at odds as he dodges his duties at every moment he can get. Thus, this part is about Kengo being a menace and Mutsumi trying to find him within their own house.

The next half is mostly focused on Taiyo, as we see him grow from a wimpy kid to a skilled fighter. Throughout the episode, he has been showing exceptional physical and cognitive skills that clearly point out just how much he has grown over the last few days. He pretty easily catches a baseball without even looking, with one hand, and even gets a warning from Mutsumi to keep his progress in check, as others can suspect him to be a ninja.
Not only that, he is also seen utilising his skills in helping Big bro Shinzo, who got stuck in a mission when his firearms and weapons became ineffective. Shinzo is a big strong dude, but he’s also a wimp at heart, thus, whenever he is without his weapons, he becomes an absolute mess and completely useless. This leads to Taiyo going for his first, kind of, solo mission, where he must deliver weaponry to his brother-in-law.

Verdict
Today’s episodes were again very entertaining and engagingly funny. There is nothing serious about this anime and only occasionally, with the use of the relationship dynamics, do you get some serious bits here and there. One thing is clear though, the Yozakura family is very tight-knit and even though they all are powerful, they are very much in love with each other and they support one another in any crisis. And thankfully, Taiyo is also part of that team.
