Mission: Yozakura Family Episode 17 Recap
In this episode, the story picks up right after the chaos involving Taiyo taking Mutsumi’s blood. Taiyo is left utterly drained, experiencing severe muscle cramps. To help him out, Mutsumi asks Nanao to accompany Taiyo to school. Taiyo, however, is worried about Nanao’s striking appearance and how odd they might look together. What Taiyo doesn’t realize is that Nanao can transform into a typical high school student with the help of an injection.
Once at school, it’s clear that Nanao fits in better than expected. He’s friendly with his classmates and enjoys being part of the school community. But there’s a complication—due to his unstable body, Nanao needs to regularly inject himself with tranquillizers to maintain his normal appearance.

He also seems to have feelings for a classmate in his biology club, Kitasato. When Nanao suggests that he should drop out of school to avoid the strain on himself and others, given the constant need to stabilize his condition, Taiyo strongly opposes the idea.
Determined to give Nanao a typical high school experience, Taiyo takes on the task of discreetly injecting him with tranquillizers throughout the school day. However, things spiral out of control when one of Nanao’s mutation pills is accidentally ingested by Kitasato’s pet snake, Basilisk.
