Melania Trump’s Absence at Bettina Anderson’s Bridal Shower Draws Attention

Bettina Anderson has posted her bridal shower photos on Instagram. It features a luxurious Mar-a-Lago ballroom with huge floral arrangements, a mint-green cake with white floral details, embroidered tablecloths, and gift bags filled with high-end skincare and clothes. Also, Don Jr. was there with red roses. However, internet users detected Melania Trump‘s absence.

In December 2025, at a White House Christmas dinner, the 39-year-old model and socialite got engaged to Donald Trump Jr. This April 12, she had her pre-wedding party at Mar-a-Lago. Ivanka Trump, Tiffany Trump, and even Marla Maples (Donald’s second wife and Tiffany’s mother) were on the guest list. The first lady did not attend, a Palm Beach source told People.

The first lady wasn’t mentioned in Bettina’s Instagram caption, nor was she in any of her photos.

Before this, Melania publicly skipped Ivanka Trump’s baby shower for Tiffany Trump in Miami.

However, Bettina’s camp has yet to accuse Melania of ignoring anyone this time. The bride-to-be’s post included: “To be surrounded by so many women I love and admire, and feel so grateful to have in my corner, meant more than I can say.” Melania’s name was clearly absent, even though she tagged Don Jr. and gushed about how excited she was to marry him.

Trump’s Mar-a-Lago ballroom was turned into a floral paradise. Burrata salad was served first, followed by chicken roulade for the main course and mixed berries for dessert. Most people’s entire wedding budget is outweighed by the centerpiece cake alone. Furthermore, Marla Maples was there, but Bettina featured her in an Instagram story, so she wasn’t seen in the main post.

When it comes to the wedding, most Trump couples have exchanged vows at Mar-a-Lago, but a political insider informed People that the White House is also a potential location. The reason is that “[it] would set them up for future political roles, whether Don Jr. goes after the presidency or something else.” Yet, the construction of the White House ballroom, which Trump demolished in October 2025, is currently on hold because a federal judge ruled that he isn’t the building’s “owner.”

Thus, according to one source, “The ballroom probably has to be finished” first.
