The contestants are set to beat renowned Chef Matt Stone in the MasterChef kitchen with six controversial ingredients. They are given liquorice, blue cheese, Brussell sports, coriander, oysters and pineapple. The ground rules are laid down which include cooking a dish within 75 minutes that includes only one of the controversial ingredients. Along with the contestants, Matt Stone is set to cook too and, the dishes will be scored out of ten by each judge, giving everyone a maximum score of 30. The participants who will score more than Matt are set to win the immunity pin.

Melanie picks blue cheese and decides that she will do another Choux pastry. Billie opts for coriander but, decides to put it in a sweet dish than a savoury dish. Alvin takes the Brussels sprouts under his wings as he is convinced to turn Jock into someone who loves Brussels sprouts, as the judged essentially hates them. Michael has pineapple on this counter as this ingredient of choice and, he is determined to make a ham and pineapple broth. Minoli also goes for a pineapple whereas we see Aldo pick blue cheese for a pasta dish. Lastly, Julie has coriander up her sleeves. As for our guest Chef, Matt Stone cooks oysters.

Soon enough the time to cook is over and, the time to taste begins! The legend himself, Matt Stone, is the first one to serve his Grilled Oysters with finger lime and cucumber. It is a beautiful and flavourful dish according to the judges. Alvin’s Brussels Sprouts Mapo Tofu is up next, which Jock thoroughly enjoyed, even though Jock isn’t 100% converted into loving them. The other judges give out some constructive criticism on the dish being good but, the Tofu could have done a little more in terms of flavours.

Next up is a Coriander Panna Cotta with a passionfruit syrup and a coriander biscuit by Billie. The sweet and savoury edge is well-loved by the judges. Minoli brings in a Duck Shashlik with smoked eggplant and, pineapple & mango chutney. Although the dish is enjoyed b the judges, we see Jock point out that pineapple being Minoli’s key ingredient was not well reflected in the dish. Melanie presents a Cheeseboard Eclair made up of blue cheese with is remarked well by the judges. Julie has a plate of Thai fishcakes with dipping sauces to present and, all is good in terms of flavour, the only drawback is that the dish seems undercooked.

Aldo brings in Agnolotti del Plin with Mussels as his dish. The flavour and taste are great but, the execution receives some doubts, especially with the mussel beads present in the dish. Michael’s controversial, unique dish is the last one to go in. It is a Ham & Pineapple Broth with grilled coral trout and, the judges absolutely dig it as they find it sensational.
