MasterChef Australia Season 13 Episode 53 Review: Everything For Final Immunity

After exploring some parts of the Northern Territory, the contestants are back. We have got out Top 7 for this season – Elise, Justin, Kishwar, Linda, Pete, Sabina and Tommy. MasterChef Australia Season 13 Episode 53 is a Mystery Box Challenge to get in the Immunity Challenge. But there’s a big twist as we are getting closer to the finale.

When the contestants lift their Mystery Box, they find some striking ingredients – lamb loin, milk, white onion, black pepper, verjuice, blackberries, bay leaves, and purple cauliflower. MasterChef Australia Season 13 judges Andy Allen, Melissa Leong and Jock Zonfrillo inform them that it’s all Everything Box Challenge. It means they have to create a dish using all the ingredients under the box in 75 minutes. The makers of the top 3 dishes will get a chance to be in the Immunity Challenge.

Every contestant has a different reaction after learning the twist of the MasterChef Australia Season 13 Episode 53 challenge. Usually, they could pick one or more ingredients and create a dish. But with products like milk, blackberries, lamb loin etc., some are worried about whether to do savoury or sweet. Tommy and Linda are most worried about their cook. Tommy cooks Grilled Lamb with Lamb fat roti, picked cauliflower, onion, blackberry & black pepper sauce. Unfortunately, his sauce is split during the cook, and he struggles till the end to fix it.

MasterChef Australia Season 13’s unofficial experimental cook Pete decides to create a dish that looks like the purple cauliflower. Tommy, Linda and Elise struggle a bit during their cook. Kishwar, Justin and Sabina are happy as an elf during their entire cooking procedure.

Pete’s dish had minor flaws, and yet again, he couldn’t make it to an Immunity Challenge! Justin makes Lamb and roasted purple cauliflower, pickled and purée. About being one of the winning dishes of the episode, he expresses, “Still don’t know what to do with my hands but pumped for the immunity challenge!”

For MasterChef Australia Season 13 Episode 53’s Everything Box Challenge, Linda cooks Peppercorn crusted Lamb cutlet with cauliflower puree and blackberry sauce. About her dish, Elise states, “I really took some risks, and I’m so thrilled to have been selected in the top three. Cooking in the final immunity challenge is going to be amazing.”
