MasterChef Australia Season 13 Episode 32 Review: Intricate Pressure Test

The current week is all about second chances. MasterChef Australia Season 13 Episode 32 is a Pressure Test Challenge for the top four eliminated cooks who won the Cook-Off Challenge. These four contestants are Eric, Minoli, Conor and Katrina. One of them will get a chance to return to the competition if they prove themself worthy again.

MasterChef Australia Season 13 Judges Andy Allen, Melissa Leong, and Jock Zonfrillo welcome the four contestants and inform them that the Pressure Test is not easy. The trio welcomes pastry Chef Anthony Hart who brings his intricate chocolate tower dish – Chocolate Oasis. Every element in the dessert dish looks fine, delicate and mouthwatering.

MasterChef Australia Season 13 Episode 32 is called Second Chance Pressure Test: Anthony Hart’s Chocolate Oasis. Eric, Minoli, Conor and Katrina are blown away with Anthony Hart’s dish. They get a chance to taste the dish and are worried about tempering the chocolate and thin sheets used in the dish. The contestants get two hours and fifteen minutes to recreate Hart’s chocolate dessert.

Minoli and Conor are calm from the beginning of the challenge. While Minoli says that she works better under pressure, Conor says he will just follow the recipe to the T. Eric and Katrina are nervous from the beginning itself, especially about tempering the chocolate. But they decide not to give up and put their best foot forward without worrying about anything else.

As we are halfway into MasterChef Australia Season 13 Episode 32 cook, Eric and Katrina are struggling a bit. Eric ends up peeling the mandarin skin used to make the jam in the dessert. The contestants from the gantry try to tell him to reread the recipe. But he believes he’s following the steps rightly and uses the peeled mandarin. Hence, the consistency of his jam is like a juice instead of a gel.

After Andy Allen asks Katrina to take a deep breath and focus on the cooking without worrying, she gains confidence. Everything goes well for Minoli, but she forgets to keep the water boiling for the Mandarin jam. So she has to catch up with the timing of boiling water and then making the jam. But she manages to get everything done in time. Conor is also in control of his cooking. However, when the time is up, he forgets to add chocolate twigs to his dish elements.

All four contestants get seven minutes to plate up their dish in the MasterChef Australia tasting room. Eric’s dish has many flaws in terms of presentation and the consistency of the jam. Katrina plates a good dish that resembles Hart’s dish a little. Conor’s dessert tastes good, but his chocolate twigs are missing. Finally, Minoli serves the best replica of Anthony Hart’s Chocolate Oasis. She gets the flavour, elements, and presentation on point.

At the end of MasterChef Australia Season 13 Episode 32, judges announce that Minoli is the first eliminated contestant to return to the competition. However, they tell Eric, Conor and Katrina not to be upset as they will have another chance in the upcoming Mystery Box challenge.
