Yi-jun’s Jealousy

The episode continues from Yi-jun kissing Jae-hee. She pushes him away and gets furious; however, to hide his feelings, he pretends that he casually did it to confirm something trivial and that he wasted his time. However, the kiss has clearly affected him, but he doesn’t want to accept it. Yi-jun then asks Jae-hee to buy him dinner because she has caused him the inconvenience. Eh? He is hilarious.

At the diner, Jae-hee’s old enemies pop up, and along with Yi-jun, she fights them off. When a thug tries to attack Yi-jun, she goes in with full fury and protects him. At the police station, Yi-jun remembers Jae-hee’s actions and blushes. But it stops there. He sees Jae-hee’s dog tags and also Seok-jin holding her injured hand, causing his mind to blow with questions and extreme jealousy.

The Slush Fund and Secretary Han’s Secrets

Hye-jung acts suspiciously, and the investigation develops through her. As she goes out with Si-hyun for dinner, he tries to find out why she wanted to eat out with him. Then he presses and asks why she replaced Han’s desk immediately. But she cleverly counter-questions him on why he is investigating the case himself.

A flashback shows Hye-jung asking Secretary Han about a slush fund, but their conversation is interrupted. Later, she is summoned for questioning over her phone call with Han, making her look like a key person to the crime. After this, Yi-jun and Si-hyun discuss Park Min-hwan’s efforts to locate Taekang’s financial data.

The possibility that someone created a slush fund to ensure Yi-jun doesn’t take over the company shows that Han was murdered to frame him and kick him out. We also learn that Na-jung has paid Manager Choi, confirming that the housemaid has been leaking data about Yi-jun.

Si-a’s Wedding Plans

Si-a legit drags Jae-hee for wedding shopping. Jae-hee watches Si-a shop and starts imagining Yi-jun standing beside Si-a at the wedding. She feels miserable as she’s trying so hard to convince herself that her feelings don’t matter. However, her visit with Si-a makes Yi-jun mad, and he yells at her for going out with Si-a without his knowledge.

But Jae-hee snaps back at him because she’s already stressed. Another instance that irritates Jae-hee the most is during the wedding dinner, Si-a casually asks Chairman Yoon to give Jae-hee as her wedding gift. This startles Jae-hee and reminds her that she has little control over her life.

An Amusement Park Date

Through Jin-hyun, the small boy who calls Jae-hee his dad, the main twist happens. As Jin-hyun and Jae-hee go to the amusement park, they spend quality time playing games, going on rides and having the best of their lives.

After this, she has a conversation with Jin-hyun where she talks about being honest with one’s feelings, and this kind of makes her realise that she’s not following. Then comes the biggest heartbreak for Yi-jun. As Yi-jun and Si-a also arrive at the amusement park, Jin-hyun dashes straight into Yi-jun only to turn back to Jae-hee and call her “dad”. This leaves Yi-jun stunned, and the episode ends.

Overall Thoughts

Episode 6 has a good mix of romance, mystery and emotional revelations effectively. We have some development in Han’s case; Si-a is acting stupid and making both Yi-jun and Jae-hee’s relationship become complicated, Si-hyun is on his own route searching for Taekang’s mysteries, Yi-jun’s enemies are rapidly growing, and the romantic tension is building.

Now, with the last twist, Yi-jun has clearly misunderstood the scene. The question now is whether Yi-jun will finally understand her before pushing her away completely.
