The Discovery of the Blue Orchid
In Little Women episode 12, with General Won’s memoirs in hand, In-kyung is finally able to go to the depths of this evil society that she wanted to reveal to the world. However, this discovery only brought forth sympathy and understanding of the deeds done by these people who were once betrayed by their own country.
General Won in his memoirs writes about the time during the Vietnam War when he, along with his comrades from a special unit force was given an important mission that brought on the deaths of many. However, they soon realised that this was a mission that will only end after their deaths as they had been sold by their government to foreigners for money.

When lost in the deep forests of Vietnam, the group reached a place to rest while accepting the fact that they would be dead by the morning. However, they all felt at peace and some even became cheery and rid of their hunger. That was when he saw the blue orchid nearby when he saw the future which made him determined to find his way back home with the flower.
It was then that they all decided to continue fighting the war and live in eternal victory. However, the fact that they’ve already become ghosts in these forests will remain a secret forever.

The Blue Orchid and Jeongran Society
Jeongran Society was formed by this very special forces unit and was led by General Won. They believed that they had been betrayed by their own motherland which gave birth to resentment and crooked desires in their hearts. The blue orchid symbolised these crooked feelings that had taken over their hearts and created this murderous monster.
Every member of this society holds a blue orchid which is placed on the Father tree in a secret room hidden in General Won’s house. The higher the orchid is placed the higher the member’s position is in the Jeongran Society. This was proved when Sang-ah placed Sa-pyeong’s orchid higher and made him overwhelmed.

The Jeongran society makes sure to safeguard its members while supporting them in society and making use of their position for their own selfish desires. Jae-sang was chosen as the leader of this society and his duty was to hold the highest position in the country, however, his failure brought his death.

The End of the Blue Orchid
In Little Women episode 12, Sang-ah makes use of the sprinklers around the Father tree to exact her revenge. She swaps the water in these sprinklers with hydrochloric acid and ties Hwa-young to a chair near the tree and threatens In-ju into entering the room with Hwa-young’s life.

She reveals her plans to have them burn in the acid that is soon to rain on them all and soon turns on the sprinklers while standing under the roofed area.
Hwa-young is the first one to burn with the tree, but In-ju’s quick-wittedness saves her life when Do-il enters and helps her in taking Hwa-young out. However, before she herself can leave, Sang-ah tackles her from behind to try and stop her, but during the struggle, In-ju ends up pushing Sang-a into the water surrounding the lake which has been infused with the acid and burns her as she drowns.

The Father tree filled with blue orchids, thus, burns up slowly with the last living member of the General’s family. And the General too soon dies, which makes him the last one of the founding members of the Jeongran Society.
