Lightyear: All 3 End Credits Scenes Explained, What Does it Mean For Chris Evans?

Director Angus MacLane’s Lightyear is now in theatres. It’s a prequel to Pixar’s Toy Story movies. In Angus’ film, we get to know the backstory of Andy’s one of the favourite toys – Buzz Lightyear. Chris Evans lends his voice to Buzz. The rest of the cast includes Keke Palmer, Taika Waititi, James Brolin, Peter Sohn, Uzo Aduba and Dale Soules. The film has received good reactions from the critics.

Lightyear End Credits Scene Explained

Disney and Pixar’s Lightyear has three end-credits scenes. If you have missed watching them, we will tell you what happened. The first credit scene appears before the credits start rolling in. It’s a small scene in which Commander Burnside, the head of the Space Rangers, is sitting in the office on the Tikana Prime planet. We see the laser shield covering the base through his window, just like he wanted. A huge bug tries to enter the base, but the laser shield kills it.

The second end credits scene appears after the movie credits are rolled. In this scene, the robot ERIC is still explaining the plan, which will help Buzz and others to fight Zurg and get to the spaceship. When ERIC turns behind, he’s shocked to see there’s no one. It means that all this time, the robot made many mistakes while explaining the plan and took hours to get it right. The purpose of this scene was to make people laugh.

Lightyear Still 1

Now, the third end-credits scene of the film teases us of a sequel. In this scene, Zurg powers up again. Well, it looks like the main villain is still alive. Zurg is the future version of Buzz, whose mission is to take people back to Earth, but not in a good way. It’s a good tease in the end by the makers.

Lightyear Still

If the sequel is on the cards, we might see Chris Evans voice Buzz Lightyear again.
