Liaison Plot/Synopsis

The official synopsis of the series reads, “Two agents and former lovers—who must work together to combat international cyberattacks threatening the UK while also confronting the buried secrets of their destructive relationship.” It is a high-stakes, contemporary thriller exploring how the mistakes of our past have the potential to destroy our future, combining action with an unpredictable, multilayered plot where espionage and political intrigue play out against a story of passionate and enduring love.

In the trailer, we see that the British are suffering from increasingly more dangerous cyberattacks. The Thames barrier has failed, causing the worst floods in the capital for over a century. On investigation, the operators think someone got into the system and while tracking they come to the conclusion that it’s connected to a terrorist plot.

The main suspicion lies on Gabriel Delage, a former secret agent, who is now a mercenary. Alison Rowdy is therefore put on the case to get more information and catch the main culprit but it does not look like an easy mission, considering the history between the two agents who used to be lovers.

While Alison has been seeing someone for the past five years, and they’re going to get married. The reappearance of his former lover and the cyber-attacks bring them together once again, but will it end on a happy note or some dark secrets will be revealed, that will leave nothing but betrayal at hand?
