The action-packed movie starts with a contextual scene where the protagonist, Damien, gets burned while on an undercover mission and fights back with an entire mafia gang to save his life. Even though Damien survives the cold outbreak, he learns that the crime lord has already murdered his wife, and punished him for being a snitch.
As it is obvious from the magnitude of personal loss, the undercover cop becomes a drunkard with a bleak attitude toward life. Until, one day, his school teacher friend asks him to uncover another doping operation, that is risking the life of teenage students. He initially declines to take part in the investigation, and then later joins the drug addict college as an act of redemption.
What happens next, can be described as a xerox copy of the classic “man with a motive/past” thriller movie, that has been made since the cliche eighties. The only difference is, that this one uses the redemption tactic in just two or three scenes, and that too unconvincingly (including an interrupted romantic scene).
I really loved the first fifteen minutes of the flick, where I actually believed that it was trying to get somewhere, but eventually regretted my decision to attach high hopes to the frequent hand-to-hand combat masterclass. The cop turns into a history himself, to investigate the drug racquet, and ends up beating more guys, than the number of chapters.

The film stays constantly in action mode, while the protagonist pretends to be a lighter version of Jack Reacher. He never picks up the fight but makes the bad guys regret it for the rest of their life. Moreover, it also features some bonding moments with the students, which are mostly dull, and feel forced.
The only things that I actually liked about the wanna-be Reacher flick, are the action set pieces, and the eventual climax. Other than that, the film is a repetitive tale of action that meets redemption, with the later part completely missing out in the process.
Lesson Plan Final Thoughts

The flick makes all the effort to look gritty and hardcore in its approach and doesn’t come close to either of those. Although the setup looks promising, the dull screenplay (with incomplete arcs) backtracks the entire project. However, if you love some fast-paced hand-to-hand action, then you might want to give Plan lekcji a chance.
