A former housekeeper who worked at Kylie Jenner’s Hidden Hills mansion has filed a lawsuit against the beauty mogul, alleging months of racial discrimination, religious mockery, and escalating workplace abuse. Angelica Hernandez Vasquez filed the complaint on Friday, April 17, naming Jenner, Tri Star Services, and Maison Family Services as defendants. She worked at the property from September 2024 to August 2025 and said the hostility began on day one, according to PEOPLE.
Vasquez, who describes herself as a Salvadoran woman and a practicing Catholic, claimed that from the moment she joined Kylie Jenner’s housekeeping staff, she was singled out. The head housekeeper, identified only as Patsy, along with another supervisor named Elsi, allegedly targeted her.
She further claimed that she was given the hardest and most demanding tasks while others were spared. Moreover, she was excluded from the team, publicly humiliated in front of coworkers, and mocked for her accent. She alleged that at one point someone said, “Catholics are horrible people.” Her phone was reportedly inspected on demand and she was made to finish work that wasn’t assigned to her. The lawsuit states she was treated “as inferior because of her Salvadoran background.”
According to Vasquez, she had first raised her concerns during Thanksgiving in 2024. However, that made her condition worse instead of making it any better. She then added that her work hours were quietly reduced in retaliation. As the discrimination and abuse continued, Vasquez spoke up again in March 2025. This time, she mentioned, a supervisor threw hangers at her feet while reprimanding her. That was the moment when the conflict became physical.
Vasquez emphasized that throughout all of it her complaints were “dismissed, mocked or ignored.” No corrective action was taken by Kylie Jenner or the staffing companies, according to the filing.
It is important to note here that while Kylie Jenner is listed as a defendant, she has not been personally accused of any harassing behavior in the court documents. However, she is still held responsible by the lawsuit for failing to address what Vasquez describes as a “toxic and abusive work environment” inside her home.
In addition to the workplace allegations, Vasquez’s lawsuit also raises wage-related allegations as she claimed that she was not paid in full, was paid late, did not receive overtime wages, and was not reimbursed for work-related expenses. On several occasions, she said that she was directed to work at another residence, reportedly referring to the Beverly Hills home of Jenner’s boyfriend, Timothée Chalamet, without compensation for transportation costs.
Representatives for Jenner did not immediately respond to requests for comment. More information was not immediately available.
