Korean Dramas Releasing in October 2022: September is soon coming to an end and this month saw another stream of some amazing Kdramas. From the thrilling Little Women to the heartwarming Once Upon a Small Town and the comic Love in Contract, this month really took another creative turn and was definitely fulfilling to Kdrama watchers.

Now, another new month is soon to arrive which also brings newer shows and themes that we are going to love. From historical to romance, we are soon going to see another stream of amazing Kdramas being poured on us to keep us addicted.

Cheer Up

Do Hae-yi is a brilliant student with a poor financial background who joins the school cheering club Teyia for money. However, this student who gives money making her priority now gets to live a cheerful campus life with this cheering squad and meet new people each day who changes her outlook on life.

Directed by Han Tae-seob, the drama stars Han Ji-hyun, Bae In-hyuk, Lee Eun-saem, Kim Hyun-jin, and Lee Min-jae alongside other cast members. You can watch the show on SBS.

October 5

Love Is for Suckers

When variety show PD Gu Yeo-reum falls in trouble after her shows get cancelled, she turns to her friend Park Jae-hun to take part in her show as a cast member. However, this leads to the PD and cast members developing a sudden, unexpected yet comic relationship.

Directed by Choi Kyu-shik, the drama stars Lee Da-hee, Choi Si-won, Jo Soo-hyang, Park Yeon-woo, Im Ha-ryong, and Yang Hee-kyung alongside other cast members. The drama is set to release on ENA.

Bad Prosecutor

The Kdrama plot follows the delinquent prosecutor Jin Jung who fights against greedy people by breaking down their wealthy and powerful sanctuaries with unconventional methods. He won’t follow the normal procedure and will take them down one by one with his tricks and delinquency.

Directed by Kim Sung-ho, the drama stars Doh Kyung-soo, Lee Se-hee, Ha Joon, Joo Bo-young, and Lee Si-eon alongside other cast members. The drama can be watched on KBS2 and Netflix.

Yonder

Eternal life is something we all dream of, but is that really as happy as we imagine it to be? Set in futuristic South Korea, this story follows a man who is unable to forget his dead wife, who is given a chance to enter a world where everything is forever.

Directed by Lee Joon-ik, the drama stars Shin Ha-kyun, Han Ji-min, Jung Jin-young, Lee Jung-eun, and Shin Soo-jung alongside other cast members. The show is set to release on TVING.

October 15

The Queen’s Umbrella

Let’s go back in time and witness the era of kings and queens. But different from the prim and proper queens that we usually see, here’s a prickly, sensitive queen whose buttons should not be pushed. Living a life of trial each day, here is queen Im Hwa-ryeong, who withstands this life for her children.

Directed by Kim Hyung-shik, the Kdrama stars Kim Hye-soo, Kim Hae-sook, Choi Won-young, Kim Eui-sung, Moon Sang-min, and Chani, alongside other cast members. The show can be watched on tvN and Netflix.

One Hundred Won Butler

The plot of this Kdrama follows funeral director Baek Dong-joo who is able to wake the death with just a touch. Now along with butler Kim, who does errands for just one hundred won, they grants the wishes of the dead and run an errand business together.

Directed by Shim So-yeon, the drama stars Lee Hye-ri, Lee Jun-young, Song Deok-ho, Han Dong-hee, and Tae In-ho alongside other cast members. The drama is set to air on MBC.

The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate

The plot of this Kdrama follows a loyal servant who is framed for embezzlement and murdered by his employers, only to be reborn as their youngest son. Now set on the path to revenge, the storm is ready to set havoc in the high society.

Directed by Jeong Dae-yun, the drama stars Song Joong-ki, Lee Sung-min, Shin Hyun-bin, Jo Han-chul, and Kim Nam-hee alongside other cast members. The drama airs on jTBC

October 31

Curtain Call

The story of an elderly woman who just wants to reunite with her family after having separated from her husband and son during the war now meets with a theatre actor who is here to fulfil her last wish. However, a relationship built on a lie cannot last and with wealth put into a mixture, a family drama is soon to arrive.

Directed by Yoon Sang-ho, the drama stars Kang Ha-neul, Ha Ji-won, Go Doo-shim, Sung Dong-il, and Kwon Sang-woo, alongside other cast members. The drama is set to air on KBS2.
