Karan Johar ditches the teleprompter and says his own lines to introduce the new guests. For Alia Bhatt, he says how he’s accused of overappreciating. Kareena Kapoor Khan shares how he’s accused of overemulating. He calls Alia his firstborn and Kareena his soulmate. He hopes to see both incredible actors share the screenspace, with him being behind the camera.
Karan asks Alia about her and Ranbir Kapoor’s daughter, Raha. Alia says whenever people ask the question, she instantly takes out her phone to show her pictures. Alia reveals that Raha is healthy, happy, the sunshine, and the light of their lives. Kareena says Raha looks like Ranbir.
KJo reveals how Ranbir Kapoor is beautifully obsessed with Raha. Ranbir sat home for a year and did no movie just to be with Raha. Alia reveals that Ranbir is deeply, madly, and truly in love with their daughter. Alia reveals that Ranbir loves spending time with Raha so much that they sometimes fight to play with her alone. Kareena intervenes and says that it’s time for them to have one more baby so that they both can have one to play with.
The director then moves to Kareena Kapoor Khan and says that Saif Ali Khan has a special bond with Taimur, whereas she is close to Jeh. Karan asks Kareena if Saif found his footing as a father with Taimur, considering he was very young when his kids Sara and Ibrahim were born. Kareena reveals that Saif has a lot of time to be with the kids now. Back then, he was in his 20s and had to do lots of films. Kareena reveals that Taimur is a quiet kid, and Jeh is a complete storm.
Karan asks Alia about having a breakdown when she thought that Raha’s picture got leaked in the media. The Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani actor reveals that after pregnancy, when she resumed shooting in Kashmir, it was the first time she was away from her daughter. Hence, when she felt like a little bit of her daughter’s face was out, she got overwhelmed and broke down. Further, the trio talks about their kids’ playdates and what kind of parents they are.
After all the baby talk, Koffee With Karan Season 8 Episode 4 takes a bit of a serious turn. Karan asks Alia about Ranbir being called toxic every time she talks about him in interviews. Alia reveals that in interviews, she is quite candid. She imitates a person whenever she talks about them, as she likes to give a personal touch. Hinting at the recent make-up video, the actor adds how things get picked, and there were articles on what kind of person Ranbir is. She even talks about the Reddit threads that call him names, considering the Animal actor is exactly the opposite of what the media or some people perceive him to be.

Kareena is asked why she didn’t attend the Gadar 2 success party. He wonders if that’s because Bebo was supposed to do Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai instead of Ameesha Patel. Kareena doesn’t give in to Karan’s try to get a strong reaction out of it. She tells him that she’s happy for everyone who was a part of the film.
There is also a discussion of the Bollywood actors’ venture to Hollywood by bus. First, it was Priyanka Chopra, then Deepika Padukone, and now Alia. However, Alia says that she has no plans to go to Hollywood. She did one movie called Heart of Stone on Netflix. She acted in English movies like she does in Hindi, Telugu, or movies of any other language. Kareena says she is at ease where she is; she prefers her BEST bus over the Hollywood one.
For both Kareena and Alia, Karan introduced a game called Vibe Check. 50 people were asked several questions about both of them and asked to vote on the options given. Bebo and Alia could guess only a few answers the viewers must have given about them. Then comes the rapid-fire round. The questions are just okay, not so challenging.
Kareena was her savage self with her answers. However, when Alia was asked if she thinks she’s the best actress in Bollywood currently, the Gangubai Kathiawadi star didn’t give a clear answer. She believes she’s not, as she has a lot more to do. However, Bebo believes that Alia is currently the best actress in Bollywood. After some not-so-great answers by Alia, the audience makes its decision. The winner of the rapid-fire round is Kareena, and deservedly so.
Highlight of the Episode: There were some interesting talks in the episode. But the highlight for me was Alia’s answer when Karan asked what message she would leave for her trolls. Alia said, “Hi, this is Alia Bhatt. If what you’re going to say is going to make you feel better, please go ahead and leave a message after the beep.” Her answer is quite cool, considering how she gets trolled the most, no matter what she does.

Overall, Koffee With Karan Season 8 Episode 4 focused more on the duo’s baby and married life, about which they’re often asked even in media interviews. Well, that’s a Karan Johar problem. He also seemed to be in a rush to move on from one topic to another. Was it a time crunch or abrupt editing? Only the makers know. Alia was truly her candid self. However, I wish she wasn’t playing it safe during the rapid-fire game. Kareena appeared calm, composed, cool, and a lot more open and fun than the previous season.
