Koala Man Trailer: Mediocre Suburban Dad By Day and Crime Fighting Superhero By Night

Koala Man is an upcoming superhero adult animated series that will be premiering on Hulu. The series is created by Michael Cusack, who also voices the titular character. The show’s plot follows a dad living in the suburbs who has an innate desire and passion to fight crimes but always fails to do so due to his incompetency.

Apart from Cusack voicing the lead character, Koala man, Hugh Jackman has also joined the lineup and will voice the character Big Greg. The rest of the supporting and recurring includes Sarah Snook as Vicky, Demi Lardner as Alison, Jemaine Clement as Principal Bazwell, Rachel House as Annie, Jarrad Wright as Spider, Miranda Otto as Mindy Hugo and Weaving as King Emudeus.

The series is directed by Michael Dockery and Maik Hempel, and the writing credits are given to Michael Cusack, Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit.

The two-minute trailer of the series gave us an overview of what the show will be about. The clip opens by introducing the titular character, Koala Man wearing a koala mask and attempting to fight crimes but failing miserably at it. The masked superhero goes by the name Kevin during the day and is an average suburban dad trying his best to fulfil every responsibility.

Nevertheless, Kevin continues to keep his burning passion to maintain peace and order in society ignited. Without any superpowers, the unlikely superhero puts himself in a whirlpool of dangerous situations, which leads to further conflicts. The trailer also reveals that the ordinary superhero will be facing supervillains of all sorts. An ancient mummy, mind-controlling villains, and giant carnivorous plants are a few of the enemies that Koala Man has to defeat.

The trailer also gives us a quick glance at all the side characters that will be appearing in the series throughout. It is a light-hearted story about everyday people in bizarre situations. Along with the funny and uncomfortable jokes, it is expected that the show will be extremely entertaining.

Koala Man will be premiering on January 9, 2023. With a total of eight episodes, the first season will be streaming on Hulu.
