Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 16 Preview: Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 (呪術廻戦 or Sorcery Fight) is directed by Sunghoo Park and is animated under MAPPA Studio. With Sayaka Koiso and Tadashi Hiramatsu designing the characters, Yoshimasa Terui is the sole composer of the series. Tatsuya Kitani performed the opening theme, Where Our Blue Is (青のすみか), while Soushi Sakiyama performed the ending theme, Light (燈).

The anime is scheduled for two cours, the first five episodes will adapt the manga’s Hidden Inventory arc, and the eighteen other episodes will showcase the Sibuya arc. Licensed under Crunchyroll, the episodes will be available with English subtitles, and the dubbed version will be released later on.

Based on the manga series of the same name by Gege Akutami, the story follows high school student Yuji Itadori as he joins a secret organization of Jujutsu Sorcerers in order to kill a powerful Curse named Ryomen Sukuna, of whom Yuji becomes the host. However, the new season will consist of various aspects of the story which the audience has been wondering about. Each episode has a runtime of 20-25 minutes.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Plot

The first few episodes of the new season focus on Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto’s past lives, where they grew up together in Jujutsu High. Introducing the arc’s main villain Toji Fushiguro who is known as the ‘Sorcerer Killer’ who is after Riko, the Star Plasma Vessel. The main mission of the sorcerers is to keep her safe from any harm until she merges with Tengen.

In the next episode, Sukuna will unleash his wrath upon the people in the Shibuya station when Yuji remains unconscious. Nanami’s condition remains dire which can lead to a drastic change in the story. Moreover, Toji Fushihuro and Megumi finally come face to face.

In the previous episode, Toji Fushiguro enters Dagon’s domain and shocks everyone. He immediately fights Dagon and showcases his raw power. He has no goal or motivation behind his attacks, his intention is just to kill the one who is strongest out of them all. After much time he manages to kill Dagon and the domain is broken. Toji takes Megumi outside and comes in face-to-face with him alone. On the other hand, Jogo arrives and sets Nanami, Maki and Naobito on fire.

Jogo senses that Sukuna has been summoned and he reaches the area right away. Mimiko and Nanako make Yuji eat a finger and Jogo makes him eat several more. Sukuna offers them a wish and Mimiko and Nanako ask Sukuna to kill Kenjaku but instead, he kills them both for ordering him. Sukuna challenges Jogo to a fight and says that if he wins then Sukuna will be his slave.
