It is based on characters created by Derek Kolstad. Produced by Stahelski, Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee, the film series has a dedicated fan following.

In John Wick 4, we are going to see Keanu Reeves return in the role of the titular character along with Laurence Fishburne as The Bowery King, Ian McShane as Winston, Lance Reddick as Charon and Rina Sawayama as Akira. Additionally, we have Donnie Yen, Shamier Anderson, Bill Skarsgård, Hiroyuki Sanada, Scott Adkins, and Clancy Brown cast in undisclosed roles for this upcoming neo-noir action thriller produced under the banner of Thunder Road Pictures and 87North Productions.
