In His Shadow is an upcoming French crime thriller film, releasing this week. The film is written and directed by Marc Fouchard and the story is brought to the screen by cinematographers Pierre-Yves Bastard and Fabrice Sébille. It is produced by Brahim Chioua, Vincent Maraval, and Olivier Thery Lapiney under the banner of BlueLight, and Getaway Films.
It will have a runtime of about 1 hour and 30 minutes and will follow the story of two half-brothers will conflicting personalities, who will be going against each other after their father’s death.

The ensemble cast of the film includes Kaaris as Ibrahim, Alassane Diong as Adama, Carl Malapa as Malik, Assa Sylla as Aïssata, Issaka Sawadogo as Ousmane, Hassam Ghancy as Chérif, Mareme N’Diaye as Maimouna, Tatiana Rojo as Agna, Jonas Dinal as Oumar, Mylène Wagram as Songolo, Josée Schuller as Madame Diop, Aksel Ustun as Anthony, Fahmi Guerbaa as Kamel, Thibault Cathalifaud as Tomtom, Anas Mennou, Edéa Darcque, Hadidiatou Sakho, and Cheikh Oumar Sow among others.
In His Shadow Plot/Synopsis
The official synopsis of the film reads, “After the death of their father, two half-brothers find themselves on opposite sides of an escalating conflict with tragic consequences.” It tells the story of two half-brothers: Adama (played by Alassane Diong) and Ibrahim (played by Kaaris). Despite their familial relationship, the two men are totally different.

Adama who is 25 years old currently, lost his sight during childhood in an accident. He was trying to run after something & he ends up in front of an oncoming truck. Ibrahim, meanwhile, has become the authoritarian and charismatic figure of the neighbourhood, as he grew up and has been called a personal demon by his brother.
The two characters meet again when their father dies and will have to get along despite their differences. Unfortunately, nothing goes as planned because Ibrahim has become a violent man and a big part of the crime world. While Adama’s life is slowly getting out of control since the funeral, Ibrahim descends into violence and chaos that might put everyone in danger. So to save his mother and his best friend, he will have to face his half-brother and his fate.
As the two brothers face off against each other, wounds from the past and some secrets might also come up to the surface which will change the course for both of them.
