I Am Georgina Season 2 Review: Shallow, Superficial and Not Enough Cristiano Ronaldo

I Am Georgina Season 2 is the second instalment of the reality TV series featuring Georgina Rodríguez, a model, influencer, businesswoman, mother and partner of one of the greatest football players, Cristiano Ronaldo. The series walks us through her daily life routines and provides an in-depth look at her struggles.

The series is directed by Georgina herself alongside Víctor Rins, and Adrià Guardiola is credited as the cinematographer.

The reality show mainly surrounds the life of Cristiano Ronaldo’s partner, Georgina Rodríguez, but a part of me could not help but expect to see more of the footballer. He barely appeared and often said anything, but he does sing a song for his lovely girlfriend, so that should be a treat. However, we get an extensive look at the professional and personal life of Georgina, where she reveals her innermost feelings, well, to some extent.

From private jets to extravagant shopping, this show contains all the elements of another superficial reality series where the rich show off how much money they can spend in one day. However, it still managed to be boring and bland. There was nothing interesting going on throughout the show. The formula of flaunting expensive dresses and jewellery is overdone, and frankly, people do not care anymore.

Nevertheless, an episode was dedicated to sharing the tragic incident of the couple losing their baby. It was heartbreaking to watch Georgina go through a devastating moment in her life. But she does not let that event pull her down and tries to remain happy for her husband and children. Balancing between work-life and personal life, she is indeed a supermom.

Besides some emotional moments, the show lacked depth. The celebrity always remained engaged with either her work or an elaborate vacation. Constantly her Instagram followers were getting mentioned, and how popular she is. Barely any real aspects of her life are shown, like her experiences of growing up in Argentina or how she dealt with the consequences of her being the daughter of a cocaine kingpin. A carefully crafted image of Cristiano’s family life is showcased, and nothing more.

The episodes were from displaying her wealth and sometimes her passions and newfound hobbies. We learn that she was a former ballet dancer, but she could not pursue her dream. However, the main highlights of the show are the appearance of the Spanish singer-songwriter Rosalia. Her children get an exclusive and up-close meet and greet with the singer. Another crucial event was Georgina’s invitation to Latin Grammy Awards, where many talented and famed artists gathered together.

The audience will receive a detailed behind-the-scenes of how a celebrity gets ready for an important event. The work that goes behind showing up at one award show is substantial, which often goes unnoticed. Some forced drama was also added to add some flavour to the show, but it did not make a difference.

I Am Georgina Season 2 Review: Final Thoughts

The show does not offer anything worthwhile. There are ten more shows with similar content and more interesting than this one. It remains repetitive, insubstantial and dull. If you are going into the show thinking you will get to experience Cristiano Ronaldo in a casual setting, you will be utterly disappointed. Overall it remains uneventful, and would not recommend it to anyone. Watching the footballer’s compilation of goals on Youtube would be more productive than spending time on this unintriguing show.

  1. Oh my godness! This is hard to watch…
She is so vain and superificial. Poor Ronaldo for having her with bunch of her toxic, leeches friends living off him. Also, it amusses me what she treats as her job and trying to show how ambitious and hard working she is….Oh girl! Give me a break….

  2. Superficial, boring, uninteresting, no depth. Most of the episodes consist of her flaunting her wealth. She shows us how she lets her friends and family borrow her jewels and handbags. I also found it tacky how she makes her queridas watch her buy herself expensive bags, go on shopping sprees as the queridas just watch by and pretend to be interested because they can’t afford to participate. It’s really pathetic. She showed a small glimpse of the miscarriage she suffered and some charity work but then on with showing the Hermes bags and modeling gigs, fittings, and vacation homes. This show really left lots to be desired.

  3. No substance whatsoever to the show nor to Georgina herself.
She often looks uninterested when people engage with her. She might not be inherently cold or standoffish by nature, but she sure did come off that way on more than one occasion.
Overall, the show was just void of realness. No sincerity. Just the same shopping, the same wealth being flaunted. Her eyes are often blank. It’s like she is jaded. Bored. almost insensitive to her surroundings. You also see her talking about how hardworking she is, which was hilarious given her lifestyle. That just made her look even more unrelatable and out of touch.
The one episode that was truly touching was the one where she opened up about the loss of her baby boy, which was heartbreaking.
Other than that, all episodes were just bland and dull.

  4. I watch the 1st episode of season 2 heartbreaking. But after that it’s all showing off .. shes not approachable to people too . Except if it’s famous or an owner of the store where she shop. I know ur life has change big time but please be more humble & kind. u don’t need to be so close because of ur millions but don’t forget what you are before . She’s a real example that money change a person . people who called her nice & generous was just her family & friends after she give them luxurious stuffs ???? I like her with cristiano Ronaldo but after she got a reality show & I seen what kind of person she is ? I don’t like her anymore she’s not a good role model ..

  5. I found myself watching this piece of trash only to have a good laugh at this vacuous nobody ,this kept woman who obviously serves a purpose and nothing else . Mindless ,uneducated ,vain she is the epitome of absolute nothing.

  6. Very vain and superficial. Just showing her buying things she doesn’t need, especially in front her friends who can’t afford anything she is buying. They just follow her around like puppies waiting for some scraps. And she says she is not materialistic…really??

  7. Georgina is a role model for gold digger, this is what I learned from watching few episodes. I felt sorry for her poor friends who were getting to borrow her bags and crap and fighting for her old furniture…I did not think she was nice or generous watching the way she treats people and I did not see her being a good mum: she kept saying the kids were her priority but she barely spent any time with the kids, as she was too busy shopping and flaunting her partner’s wealth. I saw no real bondness with Cristiano, it looked more like a business relationship, fake and superficial. This series really made her a bad service: instead of seeing Georgina as a an altruistic, kind person and a supermom, she looked like a fake, shallow, cold, selfish and narcissistic gold digger. It was that bad I actually felt sorry for her, but with all the asslickers around her who she pays to praise her, nobody would dare to tell her how bad she looked in this series. Obviously, money cant buy you true friends or love.

  8. I loved the first season! I loved the first episode of season 2. Then…episode 2 followed and it became all abt her friends. Georgina shopping with friends, some assignments with her friend as a partner. Still do not know who is taking care of the children when she is gone, how Ronaldo schedules his training and time with the children. We do not see anything about Ronaldo’s family. His mother? She was so important in his own documentary, but is not even mentioned once in season 2. It seems like the documentary is about the friends of Georgina. Maybe her life is really just about her friends? I think it reflects a totally different thing then she wanted, as the focuss is too much at being with her friends. She never welcomes Ronaldo at home, you do not see how she is taking care of so many kids by herself at home. It’s very shallow and the end was for my feeling unexpected, abrupt. The name of the second season should have been: ‘My Friends and I, Georgina.’ I feel the show is even showing her friends talking about Georgina. This was really disappointing compared with season 1.

  9. This was so cringeworthy to watch, her friends hanging into any hope of leftovers, no mothering just shopping, she’s still waiting for the proposal, she’s given him two children still nothing, sad about the loss of the baby. This is not real life, it’s all show pony fakeness. Sorry very disappointing

  10. It’s very difficult to watch, mainly because the content is so boring, superficial, narcissistic and dull. The way she talks about herself and the things she says have me rolling my eyes constantly in disbelief at the ignorance. Apart from some events, everything is staged and predictable. If you enjoy cringing at every scene then this is the show for you!

  11. Such a tacky and narcissistic show ! All she does is show off her wealth which is obviously from Ronaldo … and her friends sit around and watch her shopping sprees from diamonds to expensive bags … all she is a glorified baby mama and a care taker for the kids .. well not even a care taker since she leaves the kids with Nannie’s most of the times ! I couldn’t get past the second episode.

  12. I desperately tried to like Georgina but found that incredibly difficult in season 2 especially. She comes across cold, rude and stuck-up. She claims to be a supermom, be money conscious, and a great person but non of that comes across whilst she is rarely with her children, spending money like it is nothing, and giving empty looks to anyone she is around. The private jets to and from shopping trips and fashions shows just angered me to the core. She is incredibly out of touch, arrogant and spoilt.

  13. I’m glad to find this comment, what a tasteless mother of 5 and just come across boring, plain, meaningful content and full of superficial and cold. She is no where near a warm person or super mom since the show doesn’t show much if she taking care of the kids at all. Can’t get pass second episode

    • I use to like and follow Georgina.. but after watching one episode (which was the episode she humiliated her “friend” to not touch the Hermes’ bag) that left me feeling sick.. I did not realise Georgina was a pure narcissistic human.. CR7 should not have jumped the gun to splash so much money got her at such a young age.. she was 21 of 22.. her background is another issue.. she was not properly educated.. clearly it shows it with her lack of empathy and sympathy by constantly talking about high brands and always shopping.. it’s like she cannot live without her bags and jewellery.. it’s sickening

  14. No wonder footballers are getting criticize for their taste in women… But actually it’s the better choice that Cristiano could have land considering she is just happy by showing off his wealth, he knew that with a simple woman he will have a hard time balancing a family life and his extremly busy lifestyle he is in a dominant position cause they are not married…

It was hard to watch to be honest i don’t understand how she is getting praised for being a good mama your man is literally the GOAT and have money you don’t need to work and you are on ever ending tours doing stupid photoshoot….
you have no talent you are most of the time without the children, taking care of your precious bags at some point she was saying oh i don’t want people spit on me when she was on a boat, i don’t trust tourist and was worried of her bag getting wet…Gurl i don’t know why people don’t humble her…
She know deep down that Cristiano will not marry her (he will be stupid to do that), thats why she is running everywhere creating a brand but, she don’t inspire sympathy at all, even with the her baby loss (rip their sweet angel) sorry but the last thing you want is a camera in your face she is looking fake and even people around her are fake towards her, she is is soooo self absorbed thats she can’t see that her sister was worried about her weight comparing herself all the time, actually when her friend were arguing about furnitures it was ok i saw no problem with that but those staged charity fake gig… I mean when you reach this level of wealth you don’t need a reality tv show, the all im so in love with Cristiano is BS you are in love with your bags and your lifestyle…no relation is perfect and that’s ok i think there is love there but its not as happy as it seems…

I think its too late for Cristiano to realize that she is an arrivist making baby to secure a position and waiting to marry to be in the dominant position, cause what she is allow him now she will not accept after marriage… I think on the other hand being alone all the time accept cheating is not for everyone either but now he is bound to her with the children and as a mom figure to his biological children so i don’t think they will ever separate anytime soon…

Well i think Cristiano is really shallow and vain too, I mean if you love women like this, it is just say a lot about what is important for you so i don’t pity him he seem happy about the situation and i don’t think he is dumb to marry her or maybe he should to see if the all dynamic will change…
I think on a positive note we get a glimpse of a lifestyle of crazy rich people, private jets access to high end and luxurious things etc but it was painful to watch in term of humanity she should have stopped at the first season…

  15. that’s what annoyed me so much too when she emphasizes how much she works and how she’s a go-getter but then its her modeling or having brand deals or doing commercials and it’s like yeah everyone would want to work if they had the privilege to have that as their job, and she wouldn’t have any of those opportunities if it weren’t for who she’s with. it’s fine that she’s rich and has nice things but it would be refreshing if she owned up to how she go there instead of acting like it was purely on her own

  16. I don’t follow the lives of these two people (Ronaldo included), so I had no expectations from the series. However, the question that arises after watching it is who is the series intended for? Was the goal to get to know Georgina as a person or her lifestyle? I like the idea of a partner taking this step when she really has a reason to step out of someone’s shadow, but this is a bit pretentious. Georgina turns out to be a typical girl who grew up in a modest family and was blinded by the sudden flash of wealth. He doesn’t look at all awkward in that new situation to me, but a bit arrogant and arrogant, yes. Those friends of hers who act more like little dogs walking behind her are also funny. Today, everything is bought, including love and friendship. My rating 2 stars.

  17. Jesus, what a shitshow. I have never ever seen any tv personality so dull, narcissistic, uninterested in others and just superboring and shallow. Being a mom of 3 myself, I really felt for her while watching her struggling with her baby boy loss, the only episode where imo she showed some real emotions. But then, the other episodes were just unwatchable. I mean, supercringy, seeing her friends following her like puppies and she doesnt even care for them. Supersad.
