HBO Max’s original docuseries How to Create a Sex Scandal trailer is out, and this series might be the next talk of the town due to the intriguing real story it’s bringing to the plate. While scandals happen every now and then, with terrible news popping up often, we hardly get to know whether the news is true or a pure lie. Keeping this in mind, the crew members of HBO Max prepared a docuseries on a true sex scandal that actually might have never existed.
Imagine in a small town there is this huge breaking news regarding kids being saved from the swingers club. Why would these kids be there? How possibly can the grown-ups force these tiny toddlers to work at such a nasty place? What happened to those kids? Well, all these details are going to be present in the docuseries but with a twist.
Apparently, back in the days at Mineola, Texas, there have been cases of child ring where kids were manipulated to work at strip clubs and other abusive places. Amidst them, the famous 2004 case where six men and women were arrested for forcing kids under the age of seven to work at a swingers club is the one we’re going to check out in the docuseries.
In the trailer, we get to see actual footage of the small kids opening up about what happened to them to the officials. One small child says that she was given silly pills, while another young boy says that he was asked to collect all the money from the club. As much as it all looks real, from police investigation to the victims, in reality, these were all a hoax.
Soon a plot twist comes in the trailer and reveals via the same victims, all grown-up now, revealing that none of those events actually happened. Just for the attention of the public, they were brainwashed to say certain sentences and that such sexual abuse never occurred to them. However, due to the traumatic attention they received from the media, they have been severely affected and are ready to break the scandal.
