House of the Owl Overview

The story revolves around a father-son duo with very different ways of working. Ogami Ryutaro, also known as “The Owl”, is a mastermind and very effective in dealing with sensational cases and scandals from behind the scenes, either by covering them up or by bringing them to light. His son, Ogami Ryu, however, a dark hero who is a firm believer in justice, corrects his father’s actions from behind the scenes.

However, when the son of the next prime ministerial candidate and a close personal family friend, dies under mysterious circumstances, the father-son duo get down into business to get to the bottom of it, with Ryu working from the front and Ryutaro working from the darkness. With money, fame, power and everything else that gives birth to greed on their path and becoming a big part of the case, will the duo be able to find the truth after separating it from everything that is wrong with the world?

House of the Owl Episode 1 Preview

We see the background of Ryu and his father’s relationship and why the former decided to leave and stay in America. He calls his father “the power behind the power” signifying that he is not someone who can be messed with and is someone who controls the rich and powerful from the shadows. However, when his childhood friend dies under mysterious circumstances, he is forced to come home and confront his father’s deadly ways as well as the looming threat on his family from various quarters.

House of Owl Release Schedule

The series will release multiple episodes every week on Wednesday from April 24 – May 8, 2024, on Disney+. Episodes 1 to 5 will be released on Wednesday, April 24th, episodes 6 to 7 on May 1st, and episodes 8 to 10 on May 8th.
