The chilling release of House of Hammer has left everyone dumbfounded. With evidential proof, interviews and more, the three-part docu-series really digs into the dark world of Armie Hammer and also his family. The investigative documentary is directed by Elli Hakami and Julian P. Hobbs, with each episode being an hour long.
Through the House of Hammer, a lot of known as well as unknown secrets and misdeeds of the Hammer family have come to light. However, here are the top five scary ones that will leave you shocked, chilled and terrified.
5 Shocking Revelations in House of Hammer
Armie Hammer’s Abuse, Violations, Rape and Cannibalism
When the Call Me By You Name actor was first accused of abuse, sexual assault, violation as well as cannibalism, it soon became an internet meme before it held some gravity in the public eye. In this documentary, all the aspects of Armie’s extreme behaviours are explored as his former partners and victims come in front of the screen to share their experiences.

Armie as often alluded to the use of violence and bondage during sexual intercourse as his liking for BDSM through texts to his victims. However, now coming out in the public, it reflects on being more of an abuse than a BDSM relationship due to the absence of safe words, consent and extremity to which Hammer would go to fulfil his own desires.
In fact, one of the most prominent pieces of information that surfaced in House of Hammer is how Armie Hammer repeatedly and violently raped a woman called Effie over the course of four months. Another bone-chilling revelation has been provided by Paige Lorenze, who suspects Hammer of Cannibalism as the actor did lick her blood once after branding her with the letter ‘A’ and would often talk about eating her. Similar lines of the story have also been provided by Courtney Vucekovich.
A Pattern in Armie Hammer’s Courting and Behaviour
A systematic revelation that came to the surface through the course of this documentary is Armie Hammer’s patterned behaviour. Most of his former partners share the story of how Hammer would pursue them through Instagram first, then turn the conversation sexual and triggering followed by a trip to the desert, preparing the person for bondage, making them watch The Secretary and sharing his peculiar playlist with them.

Another recurring theme when it comes to the Rebecca star’s courting behaviour, it is pursuing women who have been a part of some sort of toxic relationship. As stated by Julia Morrison, it might just be his M.O., to seek out already vulnerable women who are more susceptible to compliance.
Julian Hammer’s Misdeeds
In the second episode of the show, we get to know the Hammer family in detail and, one of the most messed up characters from the lot has to be Julian Hammer- the father of Armie Hammer and the son of business tycoon Armand Hammer. From sexual abuse to murder, the man seems to have done it all.
Armie’s aunt and Julian’s daughter, Casey Hammer takes up a major part of the second episode where she speaks about how her father not only abused her mother and was violent with her but, also the fact that he abused Casey sexually. She also revealed how her father had killed a friend of his in Los Angeles over gambling and claimed self-defence in court.

If this wasn’t enough, Casey also stated how Julian surrounded himself with underaged girls and called them ‘housekeepers’ which was his code for girlfriends and engaged in sexual relationships with them. He has had a history of mental illness and substance abuse.
The Illegalities of Armand Hammer
The Orwellian Big Brother of the family, Armand Hammer was successful and scary. It is mentioned in the documentary that the business personality got away with two major crimes during his lifetime.
Armand was found guilty of making illegal contributions to the re-election campaign of Richard Nixon in 1975. However, he was pardoned of this crime, 14 years later, by George Bush Sr. He is also responsible for the Occidental Petroleum incident that leaked the petroleum in hot water due to improper safety measures. This resulted in the Piper Alpha explosion which was responsible for killing almost 165 people but, had no consequences on the Hammer family Patriarch.
The Power of the Hammy Family- No Criminal Charges!
It would be naive to think that irrespective of everything, justice prevails because it does not and the Hammer family is living proof of it. At the end of the first episode of House of Hammer, it is revealed that there are no criminal charges against Armie Hammer, although what we see and hear about him is proof enough to put him behind bars. But, that’s not all, when you look at the family tree, it is quite evident how the entire family, from Armand to Armie, have gotten away with the nastiest of things due to power, money, connections and the influence they have.
