Alex Dimitriades, Sarah Lambert, Katherine Halliday, Salvatore Coco, Emma Roche, and other notable actors played significant roles in the older series. The revival of this classic show, which was developed by Hannah Carroll Chapman, was first announced back in 2020.
The original high school drama from Australia with the same name Heartbreak High was a huge success and is today regarded as a masterpiece. The massively popular teen drama, which debuted in 1994 and aired for nine years with much more than 200 episodes, gave young people growing up in the pre-millennium decade with coming-of-age content.
Ayesha Madon portrays Amerie on the show, and James Majoos, Chloe Hayden, Quinni, and Asher Yasbincek play Darren, Darren, Harper, and Amerie, respectively. Other actors and characters include Josh Heuston in the role of bisexual musician Dusty who will become involved with Harper.

Sherry-Lee Watson plays Missy, an Indigenous kid who becomes involved with Sasha, while Rachel House plays the school’s progressive principal Woodsy. Alongside Thomas Weatherall, Will McDonald, Chika Ikogwe, Bryn Chapman-Parish, and Brodie Townsend, the show also features these actors.
