The Idol Episode 4 Review

The Idol Episode 4 is a game changer of sorts in the series as it provides a fresh perspective on who the real villain might be. The torture and porn level in this episode continues to thrive but, there is a suspenseful drama somewhere beneath it all.

The episode starts with Tedros now making and breaking the house decisions and that of Jocelyn’s life. The opening segment of the episode shows us Leia running Tedros through a list of meetings and activities scheduled for Jocelyn. At his own whim, Tedros accepts some, changes others and cancels most of them. Although Leia insists on some of the meetings being important, Tedros cancels them anyway. He controls everything, clearly.

Once Jocelyn is up, the music-making business begins with a new producer in the house and Jocelyn breaking free to produce some quality lyrics that are reflective of her life’s status. However, Tedros’ occupation in Jocelyn’s life does not go unnoticed by Chiam and Destiny. In fact, Destiny digs up some real facts about the man and, they are bad. Well, it is no shocker that he has a track record of torturing and abusing people.

Destiny does a strategic thing by slowly inserting herself into Jocelyn’s life to approve of her music. She meets Chloe and they have a good bond. But, what Destiny witnesses- the kink and cuts really leave her feeling overwhelmed. With time Tedros’ control and command grows, until some shots land on Xander where we slightly see the tables turn and Jocelyn lets her dark side come to light (which she maintains until the end of the episode).

The Idol Episode 4: Final Thoughts

Overall, The Idol Episode 4 was a little different than the previous two. Looking at the episode closely, one might just end up thinking if Tedros is actually using Jocelyn or, if our titular character is deliberately keeping this man by her side to use and control him. There is an uncanny sense of excessive sex scenes being used. But, the character play was really good in this one. Additionally, the scenes featuring Destiny and Chloe (them together or otherwise) are the real showstopper.
