Big Bet Season 2: Has Choi Min-sik and Son Suk-ku’s K-drama Been Renewed for Another Round?

Is Choi Min-sik, Son Suk-ku and Lee Dong-hwi’s leading trio returning for Big Bet Season 2 (카지노)? Read on to find out the answer to the question of the hour.

The first season of the Korean drama series directed by King Yoon-sung, who also plays the role of the show’s screenwriter, premiered with its three initial episodes on December 21, 2022. About a month later, on January 25, 2023, the novel season has concluded its run of 8 episodes on a serious and blood-ridden note.

If you’ve navigated your way into this story, chances are that you’ve finished watching Season 1 and are desperately awaiting the return of the series for another outing. With several loose ends, the season left us with various questions in mind. One of those prime questions popping up at the moment are if the series has been renewed for another season or not. At least this is one such query that we have the solid answer for. Scroll down to find out the truth.

Will There Be a Big Bet Season 2?

Yes! Big Bet was always meant to be a two season deal with a total of 16 episodes spread out equally among each season. However, the release date for the same hadn’t been confirmed at the beginning, but now, we have the answer to that question as well.

As the first season focussed on Cha Moo-sik’s rise to the pinnacle of the Casino game, which even led to successfully opening a casino of his own in the Philippines after working years on length under Min Seok-jun’s wing. The best element about his character is that he achieved all the top-notch feats merely by relying on his volition and staying true to his loyal fellows, but never shied away from cutting ties with the ones crossed his path, even if that required resorting to the most violent means necessary.

Thus, becoming the most dreaded and respected vision in the community, he gathered countless connections with the higher-ups of institutions in power. His empire is on the verge of crumbling down when his name emerges as the prime suspect in a close acquaintance’s murder case, which is when the show transports us to his history, tracing down each step that led him to the dreadful present that compels him to play the biggest bet of his life deciding his fate forever.

Son Suk-ku’s Oh Seung-hoon, on the other hand, has also been brought in to mingle with the mess created by this dark business. With each day bringing in a new case surrounding the death or abduction of Koreans in the Philippines, the stakes are higher for him than ever as well.
