Hanteo Music Awards 2022 Red Carpet Looks

Kang Daniel

Former member of Wanna One and the winner of reality completion series Produce 101 Season 2, now a solo artist – singer, songwriter, actor and even a business, Kang Daniel steals the spotlight with his classic take on a gentleman’s vision.

BLANK2Y

Officially debuting on May 24, 2022, BLANK2Y is a South Korean music boy group formed by Keystone Entertainment. While only 8 out of 9 members of the group were present for the red carpet sighting, they definitely ruled their space in two-toned blazers, with a member or two breaking the overall uniformity of the quintessential ‘band-look’, but still channeling the same colour theme.

TAN

Consisting of the standard seven number of members, here we have yet another group formed through a survival competition format. MBC’s Extreme Debut: Wild Idol assisted the boys’ official debut on March 10, 2022, and for the Hanteo Music Awards red carpet they can all be seen sporting a playful outlook in their all-white tuxedos or suits with the exception of one member who chose to go for a school boy look.

JEONG DONG-WON

STAYC

You can always count on girl groups to breathe life into usually black and white-theme dominated red carpet events. STAYC members swear by chic athleisure, with plaid skirts spinning up the theme. Certain members of the group also chose to go for hoodies or caps with cat ears on top. Fingerless gloves completed their casual pink-led aura.

Billlie

Mystic Story’s sextet once again head out as black beauties, but with a glamorous and glittery twist. Their sequinned shorts and funky black boots drew everyone’s attention to the stage.

Hyunsuk (CIX) and Baeksoon (EPEX)

Fellow MCs for the day, Hyunsuk’s velvety black blazer tops off his debonair look that almost makes him seem like the younger version of Watson, while Baekseung’s short white coat puts the focus on his proportions.

LUCY

MYSTIC89’s four-member boy band tried to keep their look balances with the same patterned double-breasted suits. However, as a means to make heads turn, one of the members chose to stand as the odd one out in his white avatar.

BLITZERS

Wuzo Entertainment’s boy group septet struck a similar pose as the TAN members and showered their fellow member with all the attention in the world. Long trench coats, short jackets, graffiti-themed chic pair of pants, leathery glam, you name it and they had it all under their multi-faceted fashion belt.

JUSTB

Minzy

The former member of one of the best-selling girl groups, 2NE1, Minzy had her little Black Swan moment on the red carpet of Hanteo Music Awards. Black dress, net sleeves on the side, hair caught up high to draw attention to her glowing skin and the theatrical dark eye shadows complete her look for the day.

WDBZ

Remember when shredded denims were all the rage in the street fashion world? WDBZ members paired them with black blazers and decided to show off their all-band unity with their similar attires.

TRI.BE

TR Entertainment’s septet probably finalised on pink that makes one’s eyes pop. There’s no way one could take their eyes off the girl group on the red carpet as their trick is definitely working its spell on us with their definition of Pretty in Pink leading the way.

VERIVERY

The self-producing young beasts in the K-pop industry are stood out with their eye-catching leather outfit sheen. Shades of brown could be seen amidst their choices.

YUJU

The South Korean singer known by her stage name Yuju switched the theme with her red short dress. With a long bow trailing off one side, this adornment sparked her outfit with the a bit of drama.

Son Jun-ho and Kim So-hyun

Treading the steps of the red carpet together, Son Jun-ho and Kim So-hyun looked like a unit, with each of them complementing the other.

WEi

The Oui Entertainment boy band members’ stylists went for a universal look for the boys. Knee-length black boots and blazers of various length sported by the members accorded them the looks of a modern, yet victorian Vampire boy band.

Younha

The prolific singer/songwirter and record producer who’s often been the cause of tears of happiness decided to opt for a black coat dress and kept her overall look a simple vision to behold. White beads sliding off the one side of her dress added a complementing monochromatic pomp to her choice.

Eugene

Born Kim Yoo-jin, the South Korean actress and singer and the former member of girl group S.E.S, kept her loose and open for the show. While her white body-hugging dress is doesn’t rely on an embellishments to make a big deal out of it, the loosely suspended and baggy sleeves offer it the best company.
