The show stars her mother, Mona Motwani, as well as her brother Prashant Motwani. This series follows the celebrity Hansika Motwani as she gears up for her marriage to the love of her life. Last week, Hansika spoke about the press and their unreasonable interest in her life. In this week’s episode, we see her mother, Mona make her way to Chennai in order to pacify her, but Hansika is angry she is there in the first place. The stress of the wedding is getting to all of them, and Hansika cannot continue to handle herself and the people around her.
Mona takes her cue and leaves for Mumbai to meet with the wedding planners Dushyant Periwal and his wife Ayesha Periwal. The duo sit opposite Mona, who is ready to flip the table in case things don’t go the way they’re supposed to. The planners informed her that she would need to come to Jaipur with Hansika, so they could take a look at the place and confirm everything that needed to be set before the big day.
Bridal outfits are also being planned by designers Rimple and Harpreet, who have been taking telephonic meetings with Hansika in order to put together her outfit. The bride and her mother have been having some disagreements regarding the colour of the outfit because Hansika wants it in gold while Mona wants it in red. While the former was confirmed, Hansika decided to change up the colour scheme on them giving them a challenge in order to make a dress.
Hansika, Sohael and their parents come to Jaipur and take a tour of the palace that will be rented for the wedding. Called the Mundota Fort, the planners explained where all the guests would be coming in from and the general layout of the entrance. Following this, Hansika and her mother get into a passionate tiff about the kind of Haldi ceremony they should have. Eventually, they settle for what Hansika wants, which creates some tension in their relationship for a bit but is soon dissipated.
After this, Dushyant Periwal takes the family to watch the polo match and the Derby players to introduce some impressive history of the place. The match is over, but Hansika’s wheels are turning, and she has an idea. She decides to have a polo match during the mehendi, and while the planners are trying to explained how that is not possible, Mona and Sohael seem to know her well enough not to contest this demand even though it is unreasonable and impossible to pull off. Dushyant agrees to make it happen.

Hansika’s Love Shaadi Drama Episode 2 Review
While it is to be noted that the writer came into watching this show with some preconceived notions, they did not expect it to be so harrowing to watch that the initial reason could be overshadowed. It is blatantly obvious how difficult their life is when they hide from people in their Christian Dior glasses and have weddings in forts.
Once again, the myopic outlook Hansika Motwani has towards her own wedding is stellar. It is absolutely confounding that there wasn’t more conflict in the planning of this wedding. If audiences are meant to root for any of these people in their fairytale wedding, then perhaps, the show missed the point. However, the light at the end of the tunnel is perhaps the fact that there is a clear power dynamic in the relationship, and for the first time, it is tipped towards the woman.
Hansika Motwani has never heard no, and while that should be the least marketable thing about her is suddenly empowered as if she can gaslight, gatekeep, girlboss her way out of any situation. There are deep-seated issues in their family and the prospect of turning this into a spectacle. It is almost like the Motwanis are airing out their dirty Gucci laundry in front of us. The car crash is happening right before this writer, and they cannot look away.
