Twitterati Slam Gwyneth Paltrow As They Claim She’s Promoting Eating Disorder With Her Wellness Routine

Gwyneth Paltrow is embroiled in yet another controversy following her ongoing Utah ski accident trial. Recently the actress appeared on a podcast called The Art of Being Well with Dr Will Cole and when the host asked about her wellness routine, she explained her daily meal plan, which is getting viral on the internet.

She claimed that she practices intermittent fasting and starts her day with coffee in the morning at around 12, later she has soup or bone broth for lunch and emphasises that she eats it ‘a lot of the days,’ and finally at the end of the day, she eats a Paleo, vegetable-heavy dinner. Along with it she also exercises for an hour every day by walking or pilates & does an infrared sauna for at least 30 minutes.

While if we ask any celebrity, they tend to have really unhealthy diet plans but what’s making the internet furious is how she is portraying it as a healthy lifestyle, which her followers might start following and could end up in dangerous situations. And being the founder of Goop, a holistic wellness brand, is all the more concerning. Her diet mostly consists of liquids throughout the day and some vegetables which aren’t sufficient enough for a human body.

The snippet of the video is making rounds on the internet and many have even tagged the actress as ‘Almond mom’ a derogatory term given to people who eat very small, almost insufficient meals instead of proper food & even promote the same. However, Paltrow did respond to the backlash on her Instagram stories later, in which she says that the diet is based on her medical results and extensive testing that she has done over time.

She further commented that she isn’t giving the same advice to anyone but sharing what works for her. Also, she claims that this is not what her every day looks like, there are days when she eats full meals & everything she wishes. Although Paltrow did try to justify, it would have been much better if she had given this warning on the podcast itself.

Given that Goop has a massive following, ranging from all ages and in a time when the virtual image often distorts our own perception of self – young people might blindly follow her routine wanting to look like her. Some Twitter users also brought up her past comments about getting IV drips every day as it makes her feel good and how such comments could have an adverse effect on her followers.

Twitter Reactions to Gwyneth Paltrow’s Wellness Routine

Currently, Gwyneth Paltrow is involved in an ongoing trial where a man named Terry Sanderson, who is 76 years old has accused Paltrow of crashing into him and causing him serious injuries while they were both skiing on a Utah mountain in February of 2016. He claimed to have gotten a brain injury, and four broken ribs and other serious injuries. However, the actress filed a countersuit against him claiming that he crashed into her instead.
