Gumraah Trailer: Aditya Roy Kapur Deceives Mrunal Thakur in a Thrilling Game of Chase

Gumraah Trailer is finally released and it’s power packed with some adrenaline-filled thrilling action. It is an upcoming crime thriller film which investigates a murder mystery which takes a twisting turn when the suspect is not what they think is. The film is a remake of the Tamil film Thadam and follows a similar plot.

The ensemble cast of the film includes Aditya Roy Kapur in the lead double role, along with Mrunal Thakur, Ronit Roy, and Deepak Kalra among others. It is written and directed by Vardhan Ketkar, and produced by Murad Khetani and Bhushan Kumar for Cine1 Studios & T-Series Films. The story is brought to the screen by cinematographer Hemant Chaturvedi. The music is given by Mithoon, Vishal Mishra, Tanishk Bagchi and Abhijit Vaghani.

The trailer starts off with a brutal murder of a man by the killer in a yellow raincoat and his choice of weapon is a screwdriver. While the identity of the killer is not revealed, we see Aditya Roy Kapur’s faint silhouette changing clothes on the same rainy night. Soon the investigation starts & the lead inspector, played by Mrunal Thakur, claims that it’s a well-planned murder by a smart killer.

Soon we get introduced to our double leads, who are completely opposite personalities. One is an ambitious career man while the other is already indulged in small criminal activities & living a fun-filled life. The police get a lead on the suspect & Kapur is seen wearing the same yellow raincoat near the place of the murder.

Ronit Roy’s character, ACP Yadav recognises the man as Arjun Sehgal and arrests him on the charges of murder. But despite his claims that he was in his office, at the time of the murder is dismissed & he is treated brutally to confess. However, things take a turn when another person is arrested in a case and strangely looks exactly like the suspect.

Now the question remains in front of the police to figure out that among the two lookalikes, which is the guilty one? Or are they even guilty of any crime? The murder mystery turns into a game of chase, as the officials are trying to gather evidence against their suspects but are often faced with roadblocks.

Gumraah is scheduled to be theatrically released on 7th April.
