This Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 sneak peek shows just what the protagonists are up against in this instalment of the film. This film stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Will Poulter, Dave Bautista, Pom Klementieff, Chukwudi Iwuji, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Sean Gunn, Maria Bakalova and Elizabeth Debicki, alongside other cast members. This film is directed by James Gunn, who also joins the crew as the screenplay writer, while Kevin Feige joins the crew as a producer.
In this clip, members of the Guardians are seen fighting against a common enemy in what seems to be their last fight together. They must fight against a god in a face-off that will be remembered for generations. Now that they know who they’re up against and what they have done to Rocket, the only question is whether the Guardians will be able to defeat them.
The video starts by showing the Guardians in their natural element as they blow things up and walk away like the action heroes they are. Meanwhile, we hear the High Evolutionary declare that these intergalactic heroes have no place in his world. There have been some new visuals involving a monolith launching out from the middle of the ground while Nebula stares at it with an expression of awe that contains hints of fear.
We see the rest of the Guardians following different missions, getting captured and finding a way back to each other through all of this chaos. It seems like the High Evolutionary is hell-bent on removing them. However, now that they are all caught up with Gamora, who was last seen during Avengers: Endgame, she has been instrumental in letting the rest of them know what the High Evolutionary is really like and what his God-like abilities entail for the intergalactic travellers.
Gamora is once again back to explaining how the people she is working with are powerful enough to become Gods among people. Like the first film, she explains the High Evolutionary the same way she started talking about Ronan. In the end, they all become reluctant partners, which is what this film also seems to be about.
The trailer showed that there would be some new players introduced in the field, including Warlock, Ayesha’s creation. She has still not forgotten the fact that they stole the batteries and eluded her. However, it seems like enemies are closing in from anywhere. This face-off isn’t just one that will focus on a singular villain. Rather, it will explore the stories of the characters we haven’t heard from before.
Moreover, fans are excited to see how Rocket came to become the swindling thief we see at the beginning of the series. It was alluded to that he had an awful childhood growing up. However, with the new film coming out, we may see what that was like and the kind of troubles he was put through as an animal being experimented upon. This film doesn’t seem to connect with the rest of the MCU just yet, instead it is exploring its own story which may come together soon in the next Avengers films as they come back for more.
