One More Time Trailer: Hedda Stiernstedt Gets Endless Chances to Live the Best Days of Her Life

One More Time Trailer unveils a back-to-the-past story which might not be all rosy for the protagonist. It is an upcoming Swedish romantic comedy which is written by Tove Forsman and Sofie Forsman (Young Royals, The Playlist) from the idea of Mikael Ljung. The dramedy is directed by Jonatan Etzler and produced by Eleonor Sager.

It will follow the story of Amelia, who on her 40th birthday makes a fateful wish to be 18 again back in 2002 but soon regrets it when she’s stuck reliving the day over and over again. What started as a pleasant dream, soon turned into a nightmare when she can’t move forward from the same day.

The cast of the film includes Hedda Stiernstedt as Amelia, Maxwell Cunningham as Max, Elinor Silfversparre as Moa, Miriam Ingrid as Fiona, Per Fritzell, Vanna Rosenberg, Ahmed Berhan as Arez, Tove Edfeldt, David Tainton and others.

The trailer starts with Amelia getting fired from her job, which looks like a costume designer/stylist job, and that too on her 40th birthday. She reminisces about the time when she graduated with all the hopes for a successful life and so many ideas for what her future might look like. Then suddenly, one finds themselves dealing with a midlife crisis standing upon their broken dreams.

Trying to uplift her mood, she gets drunk and is listening to her favourite music just when a truck hits her while crossing the road. But when she wakes up, instead of being in a hospital, she goes back to her 18th birthday with her parents celebrating her adulthood. At first, Amelia seems confused but eventually loves the opportunity to relive the best time of her life so far.

Rightly so, she has the best birthday as compared to the 40th one she had celebrated but here’s the twist – when she wakes up it’s the same day again. Every time she wakes up on the day of her 18th birthday and has to relive and go through the same things again & again. What started as the best dream coming true, turns into an infinite loop from which she can’t escape.

Amelia has to figure out how to get back to her older self and what wrong she might be doing that is stopping her from moving forward. With the complete recreation of the 2000s, the creators have tried to give tribute to the era with extensive fashion and all things retro, which is also in trend nowadays.
