SEVENTEEN is onto the God of Music 2nd win, and they’ve bagged their overall 60th win on Mnet M Countdown. The 13-member PLEDIS Entertainment boy group has always found its way to victory land, this time too, there’s been no exception in them being handed a golden winning moment at the weekly South Korean music program.
M Countdown is aired every week on Thursday at 6 PM KST, and as of September 2023, it’s being hosted by ZEROBASEONE’s Sung Hanbin and (G)I-DLE’s Miyeon. On November 2, 2023, SEVENTEEN’s latest title track God of Music from their 11th mini album SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN was pitted against IVE’s Baddie from Starship Entertainment.
Winning their proud moment fair and square, SEVENTEEN has attained their second win of the week. The first God of Music music show win was granted to them on November 1 at MBC’s Wednesday program Show Champion. Then too they were up against IVE Baddie, in addition to Lim Young-woong’s Do or Die and Jennie’s You and Me.
SEVENTEEN members have also come out with a new original Going SEVENTEEN series, continuing their streak not just as the self-producing K-pop idols but also as some of the best entertainers in the lot. Joshua, Mingyu, Vernon and Dino also recently appeared on the Apple Music podcast ‘The Chart Show’ with Brooke Reese to talk about their new album. The group was even seen on Na PD’s show Wageul Wageul.
God of Music promotions have mostly continued without the group’s leader, Scoups, due to his ligament tear injury. Moreover, Hoshi collaborated with the K-hip-hop trio Epik High for their latest track Screen Time that was released on November 1, 2023. He was also seen on an SELF-ON KODE episode with SHINee’s Taemin. On another front, the nominations for the Melon Top 10 category for the Melon Music Awards 2023 came out on November 2 and SEVENTEEN has been nominated among the Top 30. Voting period is now open till November 16, 11:59 PM KST.
The November 2 M Countdown broadcast wasn’t like the usual weekly program as it was meant to be a special episode from M Countdown in France.
