Go Go Loser Ranger Episode 4 Review: Many Important Events Take Place

This anime has shown some crazy developments and it is really going to be very interesting from this point on. The moment this episode begins, we see all the dragon keepers in a meeting, discussing their next move. This is also where it is disclosed that Yumeko is actually the second most powerful member of the Yellow Battalion. And even though she is quite high up, based on her behaviour towards her seniors, it seems she doesn’t really get along with them.
After her arrival, the second in command of the Red Battalion suddenly decides to pin the blame for losing a divine artefact, on the Red Keeper. And he was not even being subtle about it, as he was going absolutely crazy on how the Red Keeper should apologise and give up on his seat to him right away. At first, it seemed that the Red Keeper was taking it all in, in a positive tone, but then he admits that whoever is going to replace him, should be at least as much powerful as him. That being said, the Red Keeper demonstrates just how powerful he is in an extremely brutal and non-heroic way.

From this kind of interaction and Yumeko’s expression, you can see just how twisted the world of the Dragon Keepers has become. They are not worthy of being called heroes anymore, and hence, there must come a change that should shake the entire system. Now whether that change will come from within the Dragon Keepers or from an outside agent like Foot Soldier D is something that we will have to see in the long run.
The second half of the episode is also a very surprising one, as we dive a bit more into the story of Hibiki. He is quite an odd fellow with dreams and aspirations that do not go with others. Even though he has experienced a particularly disturbing experience with one of the villains in the past, he still has a soft corner for villains.

Verdict
From the overall episode and the conclusion, I can definitely say that this anime is going to be very good. The way every episode showcases something very unexpected is a commendable thing. Right off the bat, the characters come off as very interesting and not one-dimensional. Plus, there are grey shades in this anime, where you do not know which is properly right and which is properly wrong. For now, I just want to wait for the next episode and see what Foot Soldier D has in his mind.
