Gangs of Galicia Season 2 Ending Explained
Daniel and Ana’s choices come back to haunt them this season as Ana is forced to come back to Cambados to stop running once and for all, and Daniel, while longing for a crime-free life, must help his father with one last operation after the Padin name is threatened. However, this comes back to haunt them as the police are also after them, and they will stop at nothing before they capture them all.
Ana has been working with the Padins’ newest enemy, who wants to take them down once and for all. Although it’s a mystery at first, we learn that it’s Jose Maria’s friend Paco who is his biggest enemy. He, along with Macario, is setting up a drug trafficking operation in Cambados to get the Padins out, and Ana is heading this operation without anyone’s knowledge.

This, of course, doesn’t work in anyone’s favour as, after a drug hand-off goes wrong, everyone comes under the radar. Daniel is held responsible, and Paco steals the merchandise to make them squirm. The police keep a close eye on the stuff to nab the Padins, and it works in their favour after Nilo makes a hasty decision.
Are Ana and Daniel arrested?
Ana and Daniel are both arrested – Ana when the drug den is raided, and Daniel when he pulls a firearm on Paco in public. As a result, she is asked to testify against Paco, but there is no evidence at his place, rendering it useless. When the police ask her to testify against Macario, she is scared, but they threaten to send Daniel to a bigger prison, full of Colombians, where he would be extremely unsafe. With no other choice, he hands the information over, with the reassurance that Daniel will be kept safe.

Daniel, however, refuses to take the police’s deal and refuses to hand Ana or the Padin crime empire over for his own sake. One word and he might betray everyone he loves, and it would be for no reason. So he keeps quiet and takes the blame, eventually accepting his faults and being sent to prison.
What happens to the Padins?

Jose Maria is shot by Paco’s gang, and although viewers might have thought that the metastasis diagnosis that he had received might be his death sentence, it doesn’t turn out to be so. Although we don’t see him dying, he is shot up multiple times at the cafe, and taken away in an ambulance. Jose Maria’s fate is left ambiguous for now, as we last see him being desperately rescued.
Is Paco’s operation safe in the end?
Paco, in a surprising twist, is arrested in the end. Ana is asked to testify against him, but she isn’t able to help the authorities and, instead, hands Macario over. In a twist of fate, the attendants at Paco’s father’s nursing home find something against him that ultimate lead to his arrest. His operation’s fate is left unclear, but with both its heads arrested, it might be difficult to survive.
