Flex X Cop Episode 6 Recap and Review: The new series directed by Kim Jae-hong, known for his hits Revenant and written by Kim Ba-da, who is well known for her successful series My Name, is highly welcomed in the Kdrama world. The exceptional collab between the famous director and the writer stars famous actors, Ahn Bo-hyun, Park Ji-hyun, Kang Sang-jun and Kim Shin-bi, in the lead roles. It’s a mix of action, romance, comedy and thriller genres, making the whole watch worthwhile.
Ahn Bo-hyun’s last venture was See You In My 19th Life (2023), Park Ji-hyun was last seen in Reborn Rich (2022), Kang Sang-jun’s ongoing series is Marry My Husband (2024) and Kim Shin-bi’s last work was Revenant (2023).
Flex X Cop Plot
Jin I-soo, born into a third-generation conglomerate, enjoys a life of abundance, devoid of the need for assistance from others. His world takes an unexpected turn when he becomes embroiled in a complex case. Driven by the desire for a new challenge, Jin I-soo makes a surprising decision.
Opting to immerse himself in the gritty world of crime-solving, Jin I-soo joins the Kangha Police Station’s violent investigative team, specialists in apprehending robbers. His motivation is to leverage his wealth and personal connections to make a difference in the field. In this venture, he partners with Detective Lee Gang-hyun, a dedicated and adept investigator known for his smooth-talking skills.
Despite I-soo’s affluent background, Gang-hyun remains indifferent to his presence, setting the stage for a compelling partnership rooted in the pursuit of solving crimes and bringing perpetrators to justice. As they delve into the intricacies of their work, the narrative promises a blend of wealth, intrigue, and the challenges inherent in the world of criminal investigation.

Flex X Cop Episode 6 Recap
The sixth episode starts off with the two funeral photographers’ point of view showing how they murdered elderly people to steal the Korean seal. After finding the culprits’ motives, the cops decide to find their identity however Kang-hyun’s senior keeps thrashing her. Finally their superior passes the case to Kang-hyun as he realises that the Team 2 senior might have closed down a serial killer case as simple deaths.
Kang-hyun and her team start their search while I-soo meets with an underground information catalyst Mr. Yoon to enquire about the missing seal. After three days Yoon informs I-soo that the seal is up for sale at a secret auction. The team execute their plan and I-soo along with Kang-hyun dresses up well and goes to the club. After pretending like a happy-go couple they enter the secret auction area. I-soo buys the seal for 1 billion and leaves. Since they kept a GPS tracker inside the cash bag, they rushed behind a truck where the GPS tracker moved.
Sadly they realise that the swindlers have found the tracker and thrown it inside a random truck. They check the auction CCTV footage only to see their faces completely covered. On asking the girl who sold it, she says she has no clue about them but only allowed them in since she met them via the dark internet. This gives I-soo an idea. He then goes the following day to the same pub where the auction took place. He uses the dark web chat and talks like the girl, demanding a seal for which he will pay 2 billion. The culprits, unaware of who’s texting, agree to find a seal for the buyer (I-soo).
To make this workout, Kang-hyun requests her father to act as an old man living alone since the culprits’ targets are elderly men. Initially, he rejects but soon succumbs to the plan and they start with the set-up. Days pass and finally one day the criminals arrive at the house and get inside. They trick him with the same rice cake to make Kang-hyun’s father faint (the criminals are unaware of the old man’s identity). Kang-hyun’s father pretends knocked out.

Thankfully before the bad guys could inject the nicotine syringe, Kang-hyun’s dad fights back and the team also enters. They arrest the criminals and close the case successfully. To not let down her senior, Kang-hyun asks him to say to the press that they caught the criminals together. That evening they all celebrate together their success.
News regarding I-soo and him donating the Korean seal goes viral. I-soo’s elder brother tells their father that I-soo is changing finally and the father smiles. Looking at the father’s happy reactions, I-soo’s brother becomes anxious. The next day, a woman takes her clients to a floor to show a space for sale. Over there they find a shirtless man collapsed on the floor, lifeless. The four cops arrive at the spot and the episode closes.
Flex X Cop Episode 6 Review
Ah, here we are to the point where we finally understand that the goody-goody elder stepbrother might not really be the kind guy we all thought he was. From the beginning, he is too sweet to be true given he is a stepbrother (not generalising) but seems like he only liked I-soo since everyone around him hated him. Now that people are slowly liking him, probably the stepbrother is feeling insecure.
It’s just the start and we’re not sure whether he really is going to betray his younger brother but there are chances of him becoming a toxic character. Hopefully, he won’t shatter I-soo’s heart since he’s the only person he trusts. But, presumably, the writers might write exactly what we don’t want so let’s prepare our minds.
