Solo Leveling Episode 7 Review and Recap: Revenge For Murder

Solo Leveling Episode 7 Review Elixir Of Life

Jinwoo is finally back home after the traumatic experience he had at the dungeon. Previously, it did not matter that he was killing monsters in the dungeon, but as he had killed humans this time, things took a toll on his mental well-being. Plus, we must keep in mind, that it was not even one human but six whom he had to mercilessly slaughter to survive. This experience definitely made him stronger, but he also realizes how he is not as scared of the deed anymore as he would have been in the past.

Jinwoo also found an interesting skill in him, which is the detoxification of anything that goes into his body. Even when he drinks more than one can of beer, everything gets detoxified, and he does not get drunk. This ability helped him a tonne later when he was in grave danger. But, he is not out of trouble as the person whom he killed is none other than the older brother of a very well-known S-ranked hunter, Hwang Dongsoo. This factor takes the entire incident to a new level as now the hunter association cannot just drop the investigation like they might have done with other hunters.

It’s not just the association, but Dongsoo himself is not willing to let the murder of his brother go. And even when he does not have any substantial evidence that it was a murder, he is pretty sure the two survivors are the ones who killed Dongsook and his teammates. I suspect Dongsoo can be a problem for Jinwoo in the future. Hopefully, till then, Jinwoo will be more than capable enough to handle the situation on his own.

But the highlight of the episode is definitely when Jinwoo gets the chance to enter another secret side quest. This time he gets the key to the Demon Castle dungeon, which has an acquisition difficulty of S rank. We thus can suspect that this dungeon is an S rank dungeon, and for very good reasons.

If Jinwoo clears it, he can get his hands on the elixir of life, a potion that can cure any illness. And this is something that he desperately needs for the survival of his mother.

Verdict

This was another very good episode where, in the first half, we see the consequences of what Jinwoo has done. And, in the second half, we get blown away by the intensity of Jinwoo’s fight.

This fight was easily one of the best ones we have seen yet. So, without further ado, go and watch this episode right away.
