A new Netflix series is arriving soon, and the level of drama that it is currently stirring up shows that we can expect Fake Profile to be much like a typically structured thriller series with some more spice. Generally, the catfishing genre has a simple beginning and a disappointing end, not because of the way the narrative is structured but because of the way the protagonist has to live their lives like that.
This series is like a telenovela, albeit sticking to the tried and tested Netflix formula, and will contain ten episodes. The series is created by Pablo Illanes and directed by Catalina Hernández and Klych López. Federico Castillo, Silvia Durán, Cristina Echeverri and Rodrigo Guerrero join the crew as producers, along with David Gallo heading the editorial department as the post-production supervisor.

Fake Profile Plot/Synopsis
Camilla has made a remarkably sexy dating profile and is ready to take it out for a spin. So when she meets Fernando Castell on the Spice app, matches with him and goes out on a date, she assumes that he must truly be what he says he is. Obviously, things don’t work like that. In the series, we see that she goes out of town to visit this gem of a man she met online, but it is all in vain. All that chemistry shatters when she realises that this man is actually lying to her.
Well, she has control over this as much as he does. In an attempt to get him out of his turtle shell built on lies, she starts playing a game to plague his thoughts and life. The man, whose real name is Miguel, has a wife and kids. He has a family, and Camilla is a wrench in all his plans. Even though this man may love his wife, there is something so enticing about her presence that it makes him angry. Eventually, though, she sighs into his embrace, and the two of them start their own affair keeping both of their respective partners out.
