Extraordinary Attorney Woo Episode 14 Recap and Review: The Blue Night of Jeju II

Extraordinary Attorney Woo (이상한 변호사 우영우) is a Korean legal series that revolves around a lawyer with an autism spectrum disorder. The story follows her journey as she steps into one of the biggest law firms, taking up cases that she resolves in her own peculiar way. The Korean drama is directed by Yoo In-shik and written by Moon Ji-won, starring Park Eun-bin, Kang Tae-oh, Kang Ki-young, Baek Ji-won, alongside other cast members.

The 16 episodes show premiered on June 29, 2022, and releases new episodes every Wednesday and Thursday at 10:30 pm KST. Extraordinary Attorney Woo episode 14 has a run time of 70 minutes.

Extraordinary Attorney Woo begins with Jung Myeong-seok admitted to the hospital with stage three stomach cancer and a lost appetite. Woo Young-woo suggests finding the owner of Haengbok noodles and getting him to make Jung Myeong-seok’s favourite noodles once again.

After splitting into two teams, Woo Young-woo goes to Haengun noodles where they claim to be the original while Lee Jun-ho notices one of the chef’s reactions to this claim. He later follows this chef and finds out that he is the student of the owner of Haengbok noodles. The chef tells him that Haengun noodles changed their name, stole all the customers and went on television due to which Haengbok noodles had to close down.

Later, Woo Young-woo remembers the letter in front of Haengbok noodles that came from a nursing home and goes there with Lee Jun-ho. However, it is known that the owner comes there once a month and he had visited the previous day.

At court, Woo Young-woo asks about the budget breakdown of the temple which has been collecting admission fees as well as cultural heritage protection fees from the government. However, they don’t reveal it and she is upset that they are leaning towards the losing end.

In the hospital, Jung Myeong-seok’s ex-wife has come to visit him but when Woo Young-woo interrupts their conversation and talks about the case, she leaves the room. Outside the room, she tells Woo Young-woo that she was able to remember the reason why she left him and how lonely she had once felt.

Hearing this Woo Young-woo calls her father and talks about Lee Jun-ho. She tells him that he is a person who can take care of her like he does but the problem is herself. She is incapable of doing the same and might make him feel lonely.

The next day, Woo Young-woo and Lee Jun-ho go dolphin watching when the former tells him that they shouldn’t date. Lee Jun-ho is shocked and heartbroken and recollects the words of the temple abbot. However, Woo Young-woo takes these words and remembers something from the case which makes her rush to Jung Myeong-seok. Lee Jun-ho is further disheartened and tries to stop him but she only apologises to him.

She later makes the point that the road is public property and the temple cannot collect tax for it. The point is noted and the case finally leans towards their side. After the trial, she leaves with Dong Geurami and tells her that she broke up with Lee Jun-ho. The three go for some karaoke while Lee Jun-ho goes drinking with Hwan Min-woo and Choi Su-yeon.

When the latter group return home, Choi Su-yeon and Hwan Min-woo share a moment where she questions his attitude for the past few days and indirectly lets him know that she likes him.

Extraordinary Attorney Woo Episode 14 Ending

The next day, Jung Myeong-seok gives Lee Jun-ho an important lesson of not letting go of the person you like and instead holding on to them. The group later go to the temple and meet the abbot. There Jung Myeong-seok gives the abbot a route that can help in getting proper funds from the government for the preservation of the temple and its surroundings.

They then head for lunch where they have noodles. Jung Myeong-seok comments that the noodles taste like the ones in Haengbok which makes Woo Young-woo rush to see who the cook is. Turns out that he is the owner of Haengbok noodles and the person whom they have been searching for.

The three rookie attorneys then give him suggestions that can help him get back to business while Jung Myeong-seok looks at them with pride in his eyes. They finally get to have a taste of the noodles Jung Myeong-seok could not stop talking about and he too smiles with satisfaction. The trip thus ends and the team head back to Seoul.

In Hanbada, Han Seon-young sees the news of Tae Soo-mi’s confirmation hearing after which she meets a reporter who has been investigating Tae Soo-mi’s past. He is doubtful about a person who could be an illegitimate child of Tae Soo-mi’s which is confirmed by Han Seo-young. She is ready to provide all details but asks him to publish the article right before the hearing to which he agrees.

Extraordinary Attorney Woo Episode 14 Review

This episode will make you feel that the end of this show is very near. As Woo Young-woo’s relationship faces issues and there are more troubles coming her way very soon, we can see the show preparing itself for the final episodes.

Watching Woo Young-woo making such hard decisions for the one she loves is really heartbreaking and this whale couple crying only saddens us further. The two really love each other a lot and I hope that they are able to resolve their issues very soon.

On the other hand, Choi Su-yeon and Hwan Min-woo couple really aren’t that bad. The two may turn out to be the kind of people who are able to keep each other grounded and fill in the things that the other is lacking. This couple may surprise us more than we think.

Another thing that I would like to add is that I hope Jung Myeong-seok not only gets a second chance in life but also a second chance in his relationship. I want this man to have a happy ending and I want it to happen quick!

Lastly, Han Seon-young was promised one chance to use Woo Young-woo and this is a moment that we knew was going to come. So I hope that you guys have prepared yourselves too because Woo Young-woo is going to have a lot more eyes on her very soon.
