The trailer opens by introducing the residents of Element city and their special characteristics. Quirky and intelligent wordplay is used to describe each of the separate societies. Air often faces problems due to its body structure, water gets itself into dangerous situations, and citizens of earth remain calm and cheerful. The main character, Ember, finally appears while riding a bike as beautiful fireworks emerge in the sky.

However, she is soon dragged into reality after her father shares that she has to inherit the restaurant that has been in their family for generations. She wants something else from life, but due to societal pressure, she is bound by responsibilities. The city follows one rule wholeheartedly, and that is to never mix with other elements as it leads to problems.

One day, Wade, a water element, slips down a drain pipe that leads to the Fire town. Amber meets him, and a friendship begins to form between the elements. He is different that anyone she has ever met, open-minded and free-spirited. Besides being a good friend, he encourages her to walk towards her goals and achieve whatever she wishes. As she has never left Fire town, Wade takes her on an exciting expedition to Water town, where she is amazed by the astonishing sights.

Amber realises that she is capable of so much more than she initially thought and works towards pursuing her lifelong dreams. From childhood, she is expected to fill in her father’s shoes which has prohibited her from showcasing her full potential. Nevertheless, she becomes aware of the endless possibilities and decides to choose a path best suited for her.
