Dubai Bling Review: Wealthy Dramatic People and Their So-Called Problems

Dubai Bling is a Netflix reality show that features the wealthy people of Dubai. The people featured are Loujain Adada, aka LJ, DJ Bliss, Danya Mohammed, Brianna Fade, Kris Fade, Farhana Bodi, Zeina Khoury, Lojain Omran, Ebraheem Al Samadi, Safa Siddiqui, Fahad and others. There are 8 episodes of 45-50 minutes each.

The synopsis reads, “Step off the private jet and into a high-flying social circle in Dubai, where lavish parties, stunning skylines and jaw-dropping fashion are the norm.”

Netflix’s Dubai Bling Review Contains Spoilers

In Netflix’s latest reality TV show, Dubai Bling, we meet wealthy men and women who love to show off. Someone’s an influencer, someone’s a real estate agent, and someone got married to a wealthy person. Despite having different lives/work, they all have many things in common. These people love to party, travel in private jets, dress up like there’s no tomorrow, and create unnecessary drama.

Whenever a new reality show is released on Netflix, I prepare myself for the show to have lots of drama. Dubai Bling has all of the elements that make reality shows controversial – we meet different individuals who are judged by their own people for the life they live. They act as friends but can’t stop spewing venom about each other behind the back. There’s also a snitch in the group who will try to play in both fields.

I don’t expect the makers or people to make sense in such reality shows. But it irks me whenever they show something stupid or problematic. For example, imagine having a 5 bedroom lavish, sea-facing house but creating a big scene because it’s not enough for your clothes and bags. Ugh, even I want to have such problems in my life! Here I am talking about Safa. When she demands a new, bigger house from her husband, he tells her it would’ve made sense if they were planning to have another kid.

Safa later shared she wants to opt for surrogacy as she had issues in the first pregnancy. While I understand the husband was shocked as he was unaware of his wife’s decision, Safa’s friends were trying to make her feel guilty for not choosing to be pregnant. Someone even mentions how she should get pregnant to make her husband happy!

The women in the show constantly backbite and fight with each other. No amount of money can bring class. There’s also a scene where a man questions what happened to womanpower and feminisim (someone pronounces it as femininism). Just like Selling the OC, Netflix has focused more on women gossiping and fighting.

Although there are some couple fights, the only man who’s shown to have equal contribution to the feuds is Ebraheem. But the focus is more on women vs women. The set-up, parties and “problems” of these wealthy people have reminded me a lot about Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Lives.

An influencer is slammed because most of their parties are sponsored. Two women discuss how they don’t want to give her content for money. Well, you are doing a Netflix show for money! The same people can’t help but attend the influencer’s other party. Along with the drama, the show is also high on hypocrisy.

When LJ rejects a man and clearly tells him that she’s not interested in him and that he should stop trying, he is taken aback. Instead of accepting the rejection, he asks her if she’s in a bad mood. Behind the camera, he even says that it is LJ’s loss that she rejected him because she’s the one who’s widowed and has two kids. He has too many fishes in the sea. Why can’t men accept rejection and stay away?

Dubai Bling has some lavish parties and orchestrated fights that will bore you to death. My only favourite part of the show was the wedding in the last episode. It was beautiful and heartwarming.

Dubai Bling Review: Final Thoughts

Overall, Dubai Bling is nothing but a show with wealthy, dramatic people who cry and yell about their so-called problems. The participants show off their expensive dresses, exquisite jewellery pieces, and parties. While there’s no entertainment, all this wealth and bling will definitely make you feel inadequate about the money in your bank account!

The show is now streaming on Netflix.

  1. I used to respect Netflix but I recently discovered Apple + and I can’t wait for Shantaram episode 5 today. Netflix seems to have a serious ethical problem. Did I see a toddler saying goodnight to her parents? You can’t use kids to write a script where their own mother behave this way. To humiliate her husband like that. Even if it is fake, it is not mention anywhere!!! Most of those people are financially struggling. The show is fake as much as their money on a bank account. Dreadful serie.

  2. Zeina and Safa had a little problem with Farhana’s sponsored Events but Ebraheem and Danya went too far in terms of confronting Zeina, which was completely unacceptable, cruel, and an egoistic move. Though Ebraheem did apologize, it was not 100% genuine, and the fact that Danya put all the blame on Zeina, even though Danya was the one who was utterly rude to Zeina in her office, and despite that Zeina was quiet. Zeina was just sliding the coffee away, but Danya threw the coffee at her and caused the scene, which also prompted Zeina. But still, she completely blamed Zeina, I don’t understand her.

  3. Wanted to see the scenery of Dubai but very fast became bored with the cast and their “problems”. Got a massive headache watching this trash. Escapism has a line and this show is regretfully crossing the line. I will never get back the 45 minutes I wasted before resorting to self medicate myself with Advil.

  4. Im curious how they all live this lavish lifestyle but they’re each only worth like 1 million dollars? That’s not much in todays world or especially next to the billionaires in Dubai? Their net worths don’t even touch on Bling Empire.

  5. Effect hustings comestible pills phentermine online that would effectively increase fat loss, actual is capital to glom for pills that have already the components that should exalt your bodys metabolism, also know as the power of the body to flame useless fats
